I want to order for a wifi boaster(repeater) online. Those ones they usually plug on a socket. I want to use it to boaster weak signal on my mifi. What I like to know is: must they plug the mini mifi repeater in a socket before they can use it and must their be electric charge (current) on the socket or you can used it in a non power socket(i.e a socket without current flowing on it)
A hotspot is just a 3g/4g/5g radio which decrypts a 4g or 5g signal and re-encrypts it into the 2.4GHz or 5.GHz wifi band. It's just the radio from your phone with a cheap encryptor and decryptor. Also when companies use Mbps they mean MBps (megabytes) because Mbp is mebibytes.
Can someone help me? So a portable hotspot device can give you wifi even in no service areas? Also are these networks able to set to a hidden network that aren’t able to be discovered by other people?
Glocalme USED to be a decent way to have wireless when the power went out, but NOW the prices are outrageous. They used to have a United States 12GB good for 365 days for around $80. NOW it's gone and the closest you can get is 12GB for 30 days at $80. That's HIGHWAY ROBBERY!!! There is NO pay as you go left. You MUST buy a package and at minimum it's either a DAY or MONTH package period. Do NOT by Glocalme unless you can get a SIM card from your carrier for a decent $ for GB price.
I was sold a Mobile Hotspot that the LEDs (other than the charging LED) do not function. In fact, the charging LED only flashes blue, never solid blue indicating a full charge. Also, I have to continually reset the device to make it work. Is this normal? I'm going to post this question on every social media and review site I can find in hope someone can answer my questions. Alcatel, who makes the device asked that I work with the vendor, in this case Keepgo. So, since I've been struggling with this problem for 2 weeks, I'm hoping someone out there can fully answer the problem. Anyway, off to the next social media or review site.
Newbie here: Just told our new industrial building will not have internet for a few months, was told to finda wifi hotspot type solution. Currently on Verizon Phone Service. So can I purchase one of these, set up the wifi hot spot on my phone and connect to my laptop and have decent speeds? What would you recommend in my situation. Steel warehouse building with a window, and just my verizon cell phone (which is not pulling a great signal from the location)

So guys I'm old. Bear with me. Is there a portable wifi device that I can buy for my house and hook a security camera to? If I buy a portable wifi device, is there always going to be a monthly charge to use the wifi for my security camera?
If you get a prepaid or monthly mobile data plan, buy a mobile hotspot and put the sim card with the plan into the device. it works like a router and uses the mobile data for the internet. So you can connect your security camera to the internet connection the device creates.
The only charge you will have is for the actual data itself. not the device. If you buy a sim card with 10 gigs of data for 10 a month you will pay paying 10 a month
Unlimited data deal you want.. I dont know where you are. If for house..get wifi deal for 20 quid month..connect your phone or tv to it..then download app that comes with camera.. done..can check on your phone anytime.. get swivel light bulb camera for 60 quid..
Just set up a 6month to 1year data plan on your sim before putting it in your pocket wifi that way you don't need to keep taking out the sim to top up evry month
