I'm probably as old as you and did have all my friends' phone numbers memorized. We didn't have anwering machines either, but there always seem to be someone home to take a message (not necessarily Mom) or we would just walk over to see if someone was home.
Used to see him on the subway during my morning commutes to work from brooklyn. Always wanted to say how great he was in GOT but respected his privacy.
To be fair, they didn't say it was bad, so much as it was far less committed than the first two. On the flip side, while I would never get any of those tattoos, the last one would be the one I'd pick with a gun against my head, lol
@@jimmysthoughts8571 the tattoo was good, but he deemed the person to be a red flag - mentally unstable. Dinklage giving you the knowledge to take Tyrion's advice and start with the drinking is pretty solid here, though.
Peter Dinklage is an amazing actor! He graduated from my high school, so I’m partial. But aside from his acting career, he has done an amazing service for little people. I’m sure there are many young people who see themselves in him, and are inspired! 🙏
Love Peter Dinklage!! All his work is amazing! My favorite line from GOT is when Jeoffery threatens to have him cut in half, and Tyrion (A.K.A the half-man) says, "Hmm, then that would make me ... the quarter-man? .. doesn't quite have the same ring to it." 😂
Growing up in NYC I had the immense pleasure of meeting Peter twice as a kid when I was walking to school. I can confirm he is the NICEST, HUMBLEST, MOST RESPECTFUL actor I have ever met. The first time when I was around 8 years old my mom pointed him out (he was walking his dog) and told me that he was the actor that was in one of my favorite movies, Lassie. I quietly walked up to him and tapped him on the shoulder and asked him if he was indeed the same and he confirmed. I shyly said to him that I really loved that movie and loved him in it. He thanked me asked me my name, (It's a bit different so I had to clarify) and I pet his dog, thanked him and we parted ways. A few months later I saw him again and it was just when Prince Caspian came out and I had recognized him in that. Sure enough he was walking his dog again and I gasped and told my mom to hold on and ran after him. I once again tapped him on the shoulder this time a bit more excitedly and I just said "Hi, I'm sorry to bother you, my names Isa I met you a few months ago and--" "Oh yes! You liked Lassie!" Trying not to get super shy at the realization he remembered our first meeting I just nodded and went, "Yeah! I just wanted to say I saw you in the new Narnia movie and I loved it! You were amazing!" I said. He then broke out into a big smile and thanked me. I pet his dog thanked him again for everything, we said goodbye and I never saw him again. When I tell you that he was so respectful and didn't talk to me like a kid but as a real human being with respect and kindness... Didn't act annoyed that I had stopped his walk with his dog, he genuinely engaged in our time together and appreciated my appreciation of his work. I am so happy to see all that he has accomplished in his career I genuinely have so much love and respect for him.
If I ever met him, a part of me hopes he'd adopt a Tyrion demeanor to tell me to shove off, but I'd rather mention that his lines from _Living in Oblivion_ gave me a lucid dreaming trigger & thank him for so many great performances.
tattoo of tyrion lanister and why. his best line is wear insults like armor because they will never let you forget ( would be grateful on someone sharing a clip of that) and then when he says dwarfs are always bastards. his delivery of those lines are so good!
When you are so talented that you make a character you play larger than life that is an accomplishment.....He made Tyrion the tallest man in the room with every scene.....
Around Austin, we Didn't carry quarters (except to the arcade), we'd just pick up the pay phone's receiver, hang up, pick up, hang up, pick up, dial that phone's number with the first digit of the local prefix (452) replaced with a 9 (952), then hang up & wait for it to ring, answer & get a dial tone that let us call any number for free. Super easy, barely an inconvenience!
Adding this to my watchlist Make note that, while having Dinklage is a plus, it's more because of the title and the positive reaction in this comment thread.
