I use a DeckMate & a baseus 2000mah power bank. They have an adhesive mount that works well. Then I can use a kickstand most of the time & battery when I need it. Still keeps it portable but it is heavy. The cable is key. Flip the battery around and the cable sits across the top instead of the way you had it.
@@minister6667 Well, I don't really use it as a daily driver (too heavy for me). But it is currently sitting at "50% to 75%" and that's over 4 months! I'd say you're "ok".
Well it doesn't affect the fan. Which is apparently where these products tend to fail. I'm kind of with you though. Not because it's a magnet but because it weighs over a pound. Lol
@Darkuni Yeah I think the weight would bother me to eventually, I was more concerned with how the magnet would effect the tech in the steamdeck, cant be healthy to have a magnet so close to thongs like hard drives surely, I don't know this just seems like it could be a potential issue over time
@@lgd6619SSDs \ Flash memory isn't generally troubled by magnets, nor are modern displays. The big issue is fans (motors use magnetic fields) and the sheer mass acting as insulation. This product isn't right for me, but not because of the magnets. Strong magnetic fields were rarely issues for magnetic \ spinnjng rust hard drives, as they are built with several large magnets and have plenty of shielding. Magnetic fields are bad for tube type displays and floppy disks- there was some overlap where cells phones were pocketable and floppy (or zip\jaz) disks were in use at the same time. I'd occasionally see guys drop both into shirt pockets, the phone rings and that disk is wiped.
@s1ocky Thank you for this, I have little understanding of how any of this works so I apply caution to everything I do to my Steamdeck, haven't gamed on anything pc based since back in the windows 98 days so you could say I am well out of touch 😂
Cool just ordered one 😊
NICE! Please let me know what you think of it and if your arm muscles start to bulge!

*smacking forehead* Thanks for that! LOL
Good video
Thank you, friend!
Any stats on how long it holds a charge? Like could i charge it now and use it a month from now?
I'll top it off and let it sit around. Remind me to check it in a month! :)
@@Darkuni Any update?

Nex Machina. th-cam.com/video/odDKd4vOetY/w-d-xo.html
Ngl I would be really hesitant to strap a big magnet on the back of my steamdeck
