if you increase spring coils in spring piston air rifles, for example, the original spring has 22 coils and you put in a 24 or 25-coiled spring your air rifle is not able to cock .you try to cock the gun but the trigger assembly is not caught the piston. you should try a high-quality spring and increase the pellet weight to increase the muzzle FPE(feet pound of energy).in the case of PCP air rifles power full hammer spring increases the power but it's not harmful to a PCP air rifle .power full shots decrease the shot counts. if your air rifle is regulated then you also need to do setting of regulator settings to increase the power. almost all Indians think that the .177 caliber is not perfect for target practice and hunting .caliber doesn't matter the main thing is FPE (FOOT POUND OF ENERGY) you can increase FPE by increasing the weight of the pellet.
