Schiff endured so much ridicule for the last 12 years or so. But he had tremendous confidence in his economic judgment. Now he (and Jim Rogers, Jim Rickards, Ron Paul, Mike Maloney, Lynette Zang, Simon Black, etc.) are being proven right.

It displays how serious the issue is, he's trying to save as many people as he can.
Love him or hate him, the guy's message has been spot on and consistent since 2006. He's been proven correct despite historically low interest rates during the longest bull market in history.
Now we have negative interest rates, enormous deficit and debt. Gold and real assets are the only way to preserve your wealth. The Fed have lost their influence.

I was in Zimbabwe almost a year ago and I had people trying to sell me a hand full of Zim dollars for one US dollar. I didn't buy any Zimbabwe currency because it is worthless and I didn't need a souvenir. Fast forward one year and pretty soon I will be offering to sell a hand full of US dollars to someone else as a souvenir.

Buy gold, silver, non-perishable foods, water and ammo. I would have 10% of your net worth in those items. Should be good enough to survive, that’s what I am doing, I am around 5% right now (started in March 2020). Worst case I hand that stuff down to my kids, I mean it’s bound to happen sooner or later. Non profits and churches always gobble, use you, burp, move on. They don't qualify for state unemployment either. It's best to be taken advantage of by a Catholic church though, because they have real clout....they can call a hospital or police or something and people hustle....people who were ignoring you or worse. You may stay broke, but in a hardship they won't just say, "You're on our prayer list."

The businesses that did well during that decade were: beauty parlors, neighborhood bars (not liquor stores), sandwich/soup shops, barber shops, alterations of old or new clothes (hand me downs), seamstresses for party and occasions, small franchise grocery stores who were managed by the owners (Piggly Wiggly, etc. They could barter, take credit, give away bent cans, etc. Less waste and more friends both). Movies, of course....for entertainment and air conditioning/heating and snacks and privacy from crowded houses. I'm worn out...but there were more. Beauty parlors did well because they sell haircuts, perms, and most of all, a morale boost and relaxation. ...and, of course, Krispy Kreme donuts, 1937! They were leaving the stage in the 80s and then came 2008...most are remodelled and thriving. Read All About It!! Wall Street Lays an Egg!!!

The bond market will collapse if they bring out a new currency like 1971 when Nixon closed the gold window ending the Bretton Woods gold backed dollar. Fed fund rates rose to peak at 22% 1980/81.

In world history we all learned how civilizations rose and fell. At the heart of all civilizations rising was the increase and improved technology, the rise of the middle class, the decline of the feudalism, and the improvements of peoples every day lives. What fell civilizations was the decreased technology, the decrease of the middle class, the rise of the feudalism, and the diminished standards of living in people's everyday lives. The U.S. is no different. In our rise we increased and improved technology, increased the middle class, decreased the aristocracy and poor, and increased the standards of living of people's everyday lives. In our demise we have continued to fail the middle class, increase the feudalism and social communism, and decreased the standards of living in people's everyday lives. The stimulus packages previously handed out were meant to continue the demise of the u.s. economy. They dealt the hand of money to the wealthy, charging the poor and the middle class. Decreasing jobs in the middle class and increasing poverty jobs. The current package is suppose to help directly but it is a one time $600 that only lasts for the month the people get it. We needed a sustained money above the poverty levels into the middle class for several years with the cooperation of the managers of business to increase the pay as the money into the businesses increased. Unfortunately, the one time payment will not distribute into the businesses well enough to push a proof that the middle class held the economy. The u.s. will continue to fall as all civilizations did on the same economic slide. The people that feel people can live on anything less than $45/hr are economic terrorists to the u.s. The people that feel paying money to businesses rather than the people are economic terrorists. As we all know the economics was well defined on what rose and fell countries for more than 5000 years. Those that chose the path of republican trickle down are world economic terrorists. Let it stand in history as that as we watch the beloved wealth of the world shrink.

I think this guy wants people to invest in the same gold mining stocks he bought which would drive up the price. He stated crypto is going to zero. Only a fool would believe such nonsense. There is nothing special about cryptocurrency that differs from fiat in terms of monetary use. The blockchain technology may be useful, but crypto can be purchased by the same controllers using fiat today. How do you know the fiat gods of today aren’t purchasing crypto to fool people like yourself into thinking the new system is “decentralized”? Then, after a few years dilute the backing down just like they did with gold - say $1 of crypto unit is backed by 0.5 bitcoins now. To increase money supply. Then later $1 is backed by 0.25 and so on...

Sharky McStevenson I hold gold and I hear what you’re saying but you can’t transfer the value of gold. They will use blockchain/crypto to move said value of gold when they implement the new digital system. We won’t be going to the store with gold coins everything will be digitized and backed by gold. I know crypto isn’t decentralized I’m not blinded like most crypto enthusiasts but I know eventually money will flow into the space whether your fundamentals agree or not. Bitcoin imo is going down to 0 it has no value and doesn’t solve a world problem. It will probably inflate when the dollar crashes then come crashing down after all the suckers bought in.

If you buy gold stocks or gold etf and gold goes to 10-15k , how are you not effected if the dollar collapse and your at a US brokerage firm and you take profit in your increased value in gold but get paid out in the devalued US dollars?

With the current dip in the crypto market, it's a wise business decision to start trading in forex. Let's face it. We don't know for certain when the crypto market would come back up. I just feel forex is a wiser choice.
Forex trading is the future, especially if you know how to trade effectively.
I'd love to trade on forex but it's difficult. Over the last month, I've lost a lot of money on forex and that's not encouraging.

I don't think it's smart to write off crypto trading just yet. The market is down but it's going to come back up again I'm sure.
I'm not saying the market is not going to come back up; but right now, investing money in a failing market is unwise. A lot of downsides on the off chance that the market rises enough to make profit.

the moment mr Peter Schiff start talking about crypto (27min) I've lost my faith in his knowledge. I would respect him much more if he would admit that he doesn't have much idea about this topic, which is unfortunatelly very clear. Saying that all crypto holders will be wiped out doesn't even make sense. I would recommend to educate yourself little bit more on that topic mr Peter. Right now you didnt sound very well prepared and professional.
