Differences between versions: 1. The colors are a bit duller in the original PIXAR version. PixarFan's version of it has a much better color scheme, with the insides and bulbs of the lamps being white rather than sky blue. 2. The animation is much cleaner and nicer to look at. Again, you can tell he used a color scheme that's better than the original. 3. The credits are a little different, as noted by the copyright information at the end. 4. This version was made on Blender's Cycles Rendering (in fact, his animations are Cycle Rendering in Blender done right! I wonder if he can get Renderman to render all of his animations.). The original was made with the extremely powerful PIXAR Image Computer. 5. The title screen has been updated with brighter, much nicer to look at colors and a different wood texture.
I think the weight of the ball in the remake is a little heavier and doesn't have much of a spin. But other than that, it feels like a modern day adaptation. Nice job.

I kind of find the color scheme in the fan made version to be a bit washed out. Also the higher frame rate gets rid of the film look the original had.
