- Discover the secrets to encouraging your jackfruit tree to produce more fruit! In this tutorial, I demonstrate a simple yet effective technique to boost fruit production. By pruning the tree and selectively removing all the male flowers, we redirect the tree's energy towards producing more female flowers-the ones that turn into the delicious fruit we love. Watch as I guide you through each step, explaining how this method increases the chances of getting more female flowers and, ultimately, more jackfruit. Does jack fruit suport cold in winter
@@saidadz1903 coldest we got is about 4c 3-4 hours in the morning
Hey,
Thanks for the guide. Can I know your hadiness zone? what are the average highs and lows? Thanks
10a the lowest we had if 38ish Fahrenheit and 98-99F in summer
Thanks. Its same in winters and average is same in summers but it can go upto 118 F. I hope all plants that grow there will grow here too. But the ph is not acidic.
This begs the question. If you remove the male flowers, what remains to pollinate the female flowers to produce fruit? I have a Excalibur Red Jackfruit in my back yard but I do not remove any flowers.
I don't remove all of them, there are some that are left. I never had issue with fruits not pollinating.
You need bumblebee to do the job
Where u located in Florida?
My jackfruits are developing black mold on the fruit 😢
Been seeing some black spots on mine also but it don't look too bad.
How old are these trees?
@@walterthompson2195 10 and 20 years
Is that first tree propped up with a support?
No. That was from last year. That tree had a lot of fruit last year and was tilting to one side so we had to keep it supported with a big a 2 by 4.
@@FruitFloridaFarm thanks. I figured
I have a jack fruit 7 years old but still not flowering at all. It is averagely developed. Should I just wait or do something so that it starts flowering?
If it was planted from seed it may take some time to start flowering. My second tree in the video took over 10 years. But the first tree was around 6 years to flower.
Try to cut the main branch.
If you're in warm zone, have trunk diameter of at least 2 inches it should have flowered. Does it get 6 or more hrs sun, did you overfertizer, have u pruned too much?
In Clearwater fl, even at 2-3 yrs in fullsun it will produce . Trunk diameter 2-3 inches

Too long video. Dont need 17 minutes of removing flowers. My opinion
Yes I could have edited down but that takes time. I do this for fun. I don't usually have the patience also that's why I listen to other people's video at 2x speed.
