- Having been to 29 countries around the world, almost everywhere you go there are beautiful places to find...
But...
It is very very very rare that you find paradise and have it all to yourself. That is exactly what happened to me in Southeastern Mindanao. This Sarangani Island. This is the Philippines. This is Paradise!
To this day...
I have never seen a more beautiful place.

You, Mr Jennermann, are doing a far better job at promoting tourism in the Philippines, specially Mindanao, more than the Tourism Department itself or any paid endorsements by Filipino celebrities, ever. Your genuine love of the country, your infectious smile, happiness and humility put everyone to shame. I've never seen anybody happier with only the most basic of needs, especially someone from your background. The world would be a much happier, peaceful place if we all adapt the same attitude. Hats off to you, Kyle!

Your final statement couldn't be more truer. My parents have always warned me about the dangers of visiting Mindanao but I never failed to believe that media only scares us, Mindanao is a wonderful wonderful wonderful place. I recently visited Mindanao for the first time a few weeks ago, I went to Camiguin, Cagayan de Oro and Davao. I got stunned by the beauty that these provinces offer and I didn't see or hear none of those military wars and sudden bombing that I get to see on TV.
I'm definitely going back to Mindanao! My next destination is Surigao & Siargao!
mischadg those dangerous parts are only few...just don't go to unknown places like virgin mountains...all places he did visited are popular to us and a part of history...not dangerous if u follow his travelings..

Ulaniban Islet just on the right side of Sarangani Island is also worth visiting because you can witness both sunrise and sunset. If you are really lucky, you could see dolphins in these islands and dugong just swimming along with the navigating boats. Really cool. Balut island is my hometown by the way.
