- Free Shuttle Bus to Universal Studios Hollywood
If you're parking away from Universal Studios or taking transit, this Universal Studios free shuttle is perfect. It runs only between two spots, near the "Universal Studios/Studio City" Metro station and Universal Studios itself. Quick and easy transport to and from the park and CityWalk. Way more exciting than walking up the huge hill. There are televisions to give you an idea of what to expect at the park.
There is a Skywalk that goes diagonally across and above the intersection, running between one of the metro station exits and the opposite corner. There are escalators to assist going up and down as well as stairs and elevators. Very convenient for crossing the streets safely. This is where you can get the bus.
At Universal Studios, it stops just outside of Universal CityWalk. This is an avenue of stores that does not require admission. Stores include Hot Topic, Billabong, an AMC theater, and restaurants.
I remember one time my grandma and I took the train to universal and instead of waiting for the tram we decided to walk not realizing how steep the hill was. My Gram was having a tough time and tram actually stopped and let us get on.
Those last three cars of the tram are the old "Glamor Trams" that were used for the Studio Tour in the 1960's-1980's.

Is there a site I can visit to view the shuttle pick up times so that way I know when to arrive?
Some do cheat and avoid the expensive Universal Studios parking and park in the metro/subway lot (cheap, about $3) and then take the tram up the hill. Don't make what you do obvious, or you risk your car being towed. :/

The tram stops at an entrance that is near the mid-point of CityWalk. It's not much of a walk. Walk into CityWalk, make a left and the Universal Studios entrance will be to the right. Where the tram stops to pick up passengers at the bottom of the hill, is a distance from the entrance. I would estimate about 1/3 of a mile, almost all uphill.
