So nice, you brought a good summary. It some time confuses the hardcore bible believers to digest the additional things in the show, apart from what is not there in the Scripture. But I am also happy how this how brings historical connections that on may thing I unbiblical.
Quincy, thank you for this Wonderfull study. I have felt God is calling me to reach out to homebound believers and non believers using The Chosen as a vehicle of ministry. As a retired history teacher, I love bringing out cultural and historical info and you have done a beautiful job of doing just that. Would you permit me to share this info with my class? Quincy, I just found your Chosen review on TH-cam. I really enjoyed what you did with this quick, yet thorough overview of the episode. I am leading on small group on The Chosen using the commentaries from a few other TH-cam ministries. We are doing Season 2 now, so I won't be able to use your videos for our group, but I will share what you're doing with the group and other friends. I will check out the rest of your Season 1 reviews too. Any plans for doing Season 2?
Hey Gary, thanks for your commentary, sorry I had missed it earlier. I've managed to make my way through episode 5 in season 2, hoping I might be able to finish season 2 here shortly and be ready to start season 3 in real time!
The director Dallas has said that they are not portraying Mary as being a prostitute, because scripture doesn’t say that she was.
In episode 1 of season 1, it seems that Mary was in the equivalent of a "red-light" district in Capernaum. That may not have been the writers' intent, if so, I apologize, but it's hard for me to read it otherwise. I agree that Scripture does not say that Mary Magdalene was a prostitute.
