😢😢 Devo. I felt that second crash hey. Had a crash a few weeks back and blew my knee pad off to. Fricken sucks! Heal up boys, time for redemption soon 💪🤘
Yeah sucks when they move and you get scrapes right where they were! 😅 But pretty sure they saved me from splitting my elbow and knee open on first impact so can't complain too much. Not sure about redemption just yet but I know you're going to need someone to hold the camera 😁
@@RyanDillonMTB would you believe, I put a hole in my pad (and knee), and then came off again and and copped it in the same spot again! 😵 Man you've got it! 🤙 Just gotta practice some jumps & speed more. Also...gotta send it higher off the shark fin😬 better the second time, similar to Connor and Dave, but the higher the more time you have to settle for the landing
Oh man that is super unlucky! Hope it hasn't slowed you down. Thanks for the encouragement, yes I think you're absolutely right, I just wasn't comfortable with the speed or the jumping. And I hear ya re the sharfin, guess it just freaks me that the further left/high you are, the more you have to pop back to the right. But as you say, it gives you more time in the air which is exactly what I needed. Got caught off guard with how quickly the landing came up.
@@elijah_outback we actually talked about getting high on the shark fin take off making it easier to clear the gap on the day too ;) Sound advice. Hope you're healing up nicely mate 😉
Need to weigh it up I guess. Is what you get from a clean run worth the challenges you face (not just psychological and physical in terms of fitness but also medical in terms of injury/recovery) to get there? If it’s worth it for you (no one else matters) then you have your answer and should pad up! Great honest video.
Good points mate thankyou. Yes definately need to consider the potential health impacts, have had way to many friends with big injuries that impacted their lives considerably. I'm pretty keen, and hopeful that with practice the actual risk will be reduced, but let's wait and see. Cheers 👍
You're not wrong there. Still remember the first or second time I was there and a mate went over the bars with no protective gear and completely shredded his forearm. Strangely enough he never went back.. 🤔
motivation, coaching/role model, practice and belief...u have it all so you'll get there...that track deserves respect
Thanks a lot Theo. Yes you're absolutely right, it deserves a lot of respect

That’s big stuff mate, heal up. 💪🏻
Thanks Brad, gonna take it easy for a bit
Took the crashes like a champ! good video mate 👌
Ha ha, thanks mate, couldn't have stomached another one though. Top effort by you!
Ouch, I feel your pain on that second one. As you know I have handed over my fair share of skin to the Perth Hills gravel. Heal fast
Ha ha, yes I do recall seeing at least one of those skin sacrifices. Not pleasant at all! Thanks Adam
unlucky bout the crashes, hopefully get few more jumps next time
Cheers mate, yeah slowly slowly I reckon, nail those last ones again, then some new ones
Ouch!! Nice vid mate!!
Good vid and saw you there, I’m in the clip at the top of flowtopia.
Thanks mate. Ah yep how good is Flowtopia!?
So fun one of my favourite trails 🤙

ooh I thought the front wheel looked a bit taco at 2:23 but I guess it's just the angle?
Oh yeah I see what you mean! It's either the fisheye effect or the second crash straightened it back out 😁
It's just a matter of time. And finding a rear wheel that can take the abuse!😆😆🤘🤘
😂 you know my bikes don't have an easy life. Cheers mate
Yep that about summarizes my GF experience, or as I like to call it, "the cheese grater".
😂 yes perfect description!! That hard hard dirt with embedded rocks for extra shredding power
Your mad, all three of you 😂 Hope your OK Ryan
Cheers mate! damage is not too serious thankfully
Coming off at Goat Farm always hurts more. It’s claimed a lot of victims over the years.

doesnt do justice to how big these actually are.
Yeah too right, can't under-estimate them at all
was this in summer?
Yep just a few days ago, ground was super hard
Jeez you can take a hit Ryan
Believe me I was crying on the inside 🥴😅 Loving the new kit btw!
Yew! Get well soon 👍🏻
Thanks Evan 🤟
