- Hey! Here’s a glimpse my chaotic but exciting life at the moment!
6 years in: Long days and short nights to get to that 🩺 💼!
My days usually start at 4 or 5 am and end around 12 or 1 am but fear not! I do take a nap on most days! Its a trying journey but I love it and wouldn't trade it for anything!

A tip i use at my job to get hair nets to cover my big hair is i actually use 2 hair nets, one i break a hole in and put it on almost like a headband then i use the 2nd one to cover my bun.

I'm in grade 8 and in primary I used to passed with an average of 88 since I came to high school it dropped to 81
Don't worry about it, you're still doing well. From grade 10 onwards I feel like things get so much better and easier...just make sure you choose subjects you really like and your average should go up

I’m an Matric student and honestly I feel so overwhelmed & pressurized🙇💔 my grade 11 marks weren’t as good so can I apply with my Matric Results 😢
I applied for medicine at Stellenbosch and my application is currently under consideration. I would love to go to stellenbosch but I’ve heard stories about racist instances that occur there. Have you experienced racism during your time at stellies? x

So there haven’t been any blatant racist acts towards me but I do have friends who have had bad experiences on main campus being called the k word etc, it’s mostly just micro aggressions on the clinical platform and just a subtle feeling of not belonging since there aren’t that many black or poc people, is what i have experienced but no outright racism towards me x
Tariro Rudenya thank you for responding! I’ve dealt with micro aggressions my whole life so I guess that isn’t too bad (although it’s sad that this is even a thing.) I applied for Medicine (hoping to do MbChb), computer science and visual communication design x

Hey! So yes you get to choose your residence on campus but you may not always get the one you pick, but most people do! and our campus is about 30 minutes drive away from main campus x

Will him/her get accepted at a medical school(university) here in South Africa?
Hey Sinako! So as far as I know, physical science is a requirement for medical school entrance, I don’t think you can get in without it unfortunately, but please do use our good friend the Google to search for the requirements of the specific universities you want to go to x, all the best!

Hey I applied for Medicine physiotherapy and BSc at the university of Stellenbosch But only one subject(grade 11 marks) that doesn't meet the minimum requirements for medicine ,so if I pass the SJT test as well a the final exams will I be considered?
Hey Nkuli, thanks for writing, I’m not sure if you will be eligible because of the extremely high completion to get into the physiotherapy program here, they have very small classes so it may be a challenge unfortunately to get prelims acceptance but if you do really well in matric and make up for it, your chances are much higher! Keep working hard and don’t give up on your dream, only you can make it happen! Goodluck x

Hey! Yes Stellenbosch does do elective studies with students from abroad, you can go to www.mysun.ac.za for more information!
Is it possible to go on call on a Saturday as a final year student?
Hey Tshepang! Yes it is actually a thing to do call on Saturday me from third year😂. We have rosters for every hospital module and most include atleast one weekend call😂
And yes we do sleep at the hospital for 24 hour calls on weekends as well🥴
