We must understand that he does these chats ONLY to make some money. NOTHING else. So to expect anything else is futile. Just watch his views on Pakistani talk shows, where he openly labels India as Pakistan's mortal enemy and how he spews venom against India and especially Modi.

Pak NSA before he was appointed during TV appearance had suggested to Pakistan to create leverage with India by allowing cross country access to Afghanistan. These offers are in line with that line of thinking. However, the Pakistani government has made it a non starter by bringing in these preconditions. The NSA must feel frustrated with the way his strategy has been foiled by the Pakistanis themselves.

    My dear Qamar Cheema Ji,
Please be informed that Kashmir is a settled issue & not a disputed issue. Please consult your former foreign ministers Mr Kasuri & Madam Khar.
The common problems which need to be discussed are condition of minorities in our two nations, Pakistan sponcered terrorism, providing good education & health, mutual trade & easy movement of citizens across the border.
Condition of minorities are worst than the condition of Uigar Muslims in Sinkiang Chiana. Persons like Mian Mithu engaged in forcible conversions get reward & recognition not only from every politician, but also by Milteatablishment.
Pakistan is biggest exporter of terrorism in the world. Dreaded & declared terrorist like Osama bin Laden, Kasab, Hafiz Saeed, Lakhvi are found & live a lavish lifestyle in Pakistan. President Musharraf call these terrorists as Pakistan's strategic assets. Please forget to take away Kashmir from India by sponsoring terrorism & arousing religious sentiments of Kashmiris.
China has made life of Uigar Muslims hell. Neither your PM IK nor your Mullah Millitary Mafia speaks for the genuine human rights of Uigar Muslims in International fora.
Please give serious thought to this.
    Thanks.

    Mr. Cheema
India has almost resolved territory disputes with Bangladesh. We have disputes at LAC as well but we are doing trade with both China and Bangladesh. Recently there was attack on Hindus in Bangladesh but the Bangladeshi Govt.and judiciary took promt action against perpetrators. See the difference.... Pakistan has not shown true intent. China is a matured country and both countries can look beyond territory issues and collaborate. You guys are stuck on Kashmir. Hence India is not keen on resuming relationship

Katira Khan goes around begging for money, Cheema is going guest to guest begging for talks. Cheema is only doing propaganda to say look we want peace but India is so bad they don’t. There is nothing new with Pak. It’s the same claim repackaged for contemporary consumption. This Cheema is an ISI agent only.doing propaganda.

My reading is, at this stage Pakistan can not openly state that it will abandon Kashmir, at the same time Pak knows Kashmir can not be taken or given to them. Both countries may start talking on other issues like envoy exchange, trade, TAPI, PTP contact. For domestic consumption Pakistan will claim they are taking up Kashmir issue and over a period of time Kashmir issue will die down and will be remembered to be forgotton. Should Pakistan betray again then they can forget normalization, this may lead them to abyss.

Pakistan is under intense pressure from a near FAILING economy.
Hence the conditional offer which QC is desparate to sell by repeatedly clamouring in this talk show _- Come to Table Come to Table to resolve dispute.
Rulers sitting in GHQ also have timed the conditional offer with an eye on US forces withdrawal next month from Afghanistan .
A Talibaan take over ,if it happens, may not be helpful for Pakistan due to its weak economy & Talibaan may not fully go against continuance of Indian developmental works there, despite intense hidden desire of Pakistan to use them against India .
It's very hard for Pakistan to go back from the anti India narrative built by wasted interests including Army, immediately.
Hanging of carrots of Trade or trade route etc is hardly workable.
It will be interesting to see when Pakistan learns & swallow it's hollow ego.

@abhinav - save your sympathies. Cheema does not deserve any.
There are other folks like Arzoo Kazmi and Fakhar Y - who are more reasonable and amenable to a different way of thinking. Not Cheema.
Increasingly - I can sense a feeling of despair and frustration among PK analysts - and I too start feeling sorry for them. But then I catch myself and realize that they are really not sorry for having used terrorists in the past against India. They feel that it is justified. They justify it using Kulbhushan Jadhav - and current unrest within PK - their loss of 70,000 people to internal terrorism (blaming IN for it) or for IN using Mukti Bahini to stop their atrocities in Bangladesh. Don't know when they will come to their senses.

Bashani sahab is right. Pak simply cannot increase its defence budget any further as it risks going down the USSR way......

Almost agreed with Hamid Basani sb ,Mr.Cheema in India only people are thinking economy development no one bothering about pakistan or their so called peace offer.. frankly India focusing on internal growth same time sustainable growth in external growth..

True. I think they keep discussing these things to stay relevant in the fast changing world. Nobody gives a fork about them
