    @wh6763 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks for the demo, I'm thinking of getting this same system vs the ignite. I have the small 12 cue version of yours as it is now, and its solid! As others have said, its tough to get the visco to light when taping to the MJG. They sell small plastic connections for the fuse/initiator that I've used with good success when going direct to visco. For cakes, I just use a non sparking punch where the use is and directly insert the initiator into the cake. 100% success rate with this method so far!

    • @MileHighPyro-303
      @MileHighPyro-303  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm definitely going to try the direct ignition in the cake next. Also tried inserting a very small piece of white quick fuse with the visco, and had %100 success. Unfortunately my camera failed on me and wasn't able to post that video.

  • @yglordco9793
    @yglordco9793 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I don’t personally own a system but I’ve had a chance to use one, from what I’ve seen people don’t actually connect to the fuse they insert them in the hole near the fuse to make sure it burns but connections are usually the failure point if it doesn’t ignite at all

    • @MileHighPyro-303
      @MileHighPyro-303  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm definitely switching to a direct port set up to make sure they light on future demos. Appreciate the support and feedback.

      @yglordco9793 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MileHighPyro-303 all you really need is a brass poke tool to make the fuse hole big enough to fit the mjg wire the blue plastic tip should be able to slide back or you stuff the whole thing in the whole. I don’t know how well poking canister shells work because the wire would be in the tube but that’s something you can test out for a video

    • @MileHighPyro-303
      @MileHighPyro-303  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@yglordco9793 likely wouldn't use these on canister individually. Would fuse up my rack and have one igniter light a quick fuse to start it.

    Hey pyro like the video and you're up front. I'm not familiar with you're firing system but I do have an IGNITE system. It's a little more simpler than but have had similar experiences. Mjg is mainly for cakes, you remove the fuse use a punch that wont spark to punch a hole and put the mjg inside that hole and tape off. the talon ignitors work best for this application!! Nice video!!

      @MileHighPyro-303  ปีที่แล้ว

    If youre going to go mjg directly to visco you need to splice in either 1sec/ft white/grey fuse between the mjg and the green visco. Green visco doesnt take to fire very easily.
    When you land your cues on the modules make sure you dont have your copper leads touching eachother and make sure you fold the exposed copper into a V before you insert it into the terminal for better contact.
    I hate talons, theyre trash. I could only ever see using talons for rockets fountains and roman candles. I go mjg directly into the lift charge of cakes and cans. Rockets fountains and roman candles ill go with the splicing technique above. Ive shot 1000's of mjg with not 1 failure. I had all the failures you had initially but that was all my fault not the hardware.
    Pyro on!

    • @MileHighPyro-303
      @MileHighPyro-303  ปีที่แล้ว

      Can't stress enough how much i appreciate the input. Will definitely try these methods out next time! I'm sure me rushing through this had a lot to do with the failures. I've see videos mention pulling back the green strands to reveal the powder before connecting, i didn't do that either, which I'm sure would have helped.
