On the moonless night of halloween, the dark crafter of sound sorrows DjtheS was preparing his usual track list to bolster the morale of the monsters and ghouls. An event the town came to expect after year after year of frights. Only this time he wouldn't play his tune for only on group of the night. No, the power he wielded this night was one time itself a powerful magic known as the Megamix! He would show the people why they began to fear him in the first place, through summoning every horror he previously placed them through. Dullahan's raced through the streets, cackling head in hand. Werewolf's cried into the moonless night and stalked their prey from the shadows. Poltergeist's flew through the air, possessing objects to terrorise the masses. Skeleton's rattled and chattered with glee, as their goofy acts became horrific frights. Spiders spun webs hoping for a snack, trapping passerbys in a web tomb. Demons rose from the earth pitchfork in hand, destined to punish others for their sins. Vampires took to the homes of the upper class, looking for someone who could quench their thirst. Zombies shambled from house to house, mindlessly looking for minds. Sea monsters patrolled the waters with grace, searching for people to join them below the waves. An event which would forever be known as the Halloween Mayhem of 2022, and remind the populace who the lord of the nightclub truly was!
This Massive Monster mashup carries a long history of nostalgia you've created during the spooki season, though ironically I haven't heard alot of the earlier mixes when they came out since my stubborn ass didn't wanna try to enjoy the music I didn't quite know yet. And just like Disciple Month, you seem to have kept the flow of this second Halloween Megamix sounding similar till the end, with the exception of Plok! in the beginning there. Happy Halloween, Joe! Dress up gnarly-like!
I’d love to hear you do a gothic neclord remix like you put in the night vampires Halloween mix. Also how tf do you not have wayyyyyy more subs than this? It’s maddening
I’m actually very curious, how long does it usually take to make a remix of this scale? I would assume it takes quite a while, they always turn out fantastic.
Really hard to say, it's always different, and I don't really keep track too much. Although this one didn't take as long to make as you might think, because it's an extension of Halloween Mayhem 2018, so half of the song was already done by the time I started to work on it.
As if the Disciple tracks didn’t already cement you as the musical king of crossovers… we’re hearing the end of an era right now, and it is electronic _gold!_
