    I have been scammed too for the mv7, I just removed the yoke and after I couldn't put it back so just a reminder, don't remove the yoke of the fake ones guys, very good content tho, appreciate it +1

      Sorry to hear you got scammed also… other than the yoke, what other checks did yours fail? My audio comparison does show a quality difference, but the amount I paid for my mic I can’t be too upset for the quality/price… served me well for 2yrs… I thought it was a legit mic until about 3months ago lol… thanks for checking out the content… I got other audio vids… once I decide on my audio setup, I will go back to my true passion and that be photography/videography… but I’m finding this audio world fascinating right now

      I think the mic is too responsive like I can hear when I am touching the microphone, the sound quality is good but not as good as the genuine one, the microphone comes with one version that you can't update on the shure motiv application, I got the microphone for free so I can't complain too much, the best mode for this fake is the dark mode I guess bc on other modes the quality decreases a lot for me, I saw your other videos in which you are using the RE20, so I already know which one I am going to take, does the rodecaster pro II is enough for the re20 ?? or do I need something else? I am a beginner in videography and I don't know which camera I have to buy , I am thinking about the ZV-E10 but I am not sure at all

      @@gorky2970 handling noise on the fake and genuine MV7 is equally bad from what I can tell…
      I’m still tossing up between SM7B and RE20. I prefer the natural audio quality of RE20, but it requires a bit more to think about whilst using it. Handling noise, wind and plosives.
      SM7B is a darker mic, but manages the other issues much easier.
      Rodecaster Pro II, DUO or the Rode Streamer X would run either mic perfectly fine. It just depends how many XLR connections you need.
      Any Sony mirrorless can get you started after the A6500… minor pros and cons with various features, but overall they can all get you started on your journey and take you very far.
      Through my experience, you learn what limits you by shooting and you will forever be switching up your kit anyway.
      So the ZV-E10 will do a good job I’m sure

      I think that the mv7 is made to be accessible to everyone, but its price justifies its sound quality even if it is not bad, it's still a shame if you don't use it with xlr.
      I guess that between the RE20 and the SM7B it's just a matter of taste, both are really good mics tho, even if I think that the SM7B changes your voice a little bit more while the RE20 improves it.
      The Rodecaster pro II would be perfect for me, I think I would take other microphones to test which one is the best, a bit like you LOL, as you said I think I will switch alot in terms of camera so starting with the ZV-E10 will be good I think.

      @@gorky2970 lol - yeah it’s fun - the good thing is you can obtain all this relatively risk free.
      I’ve done some videos on how to check for genuine Shure SM7B and if you buy used, use it for a while, you could sell it more or less the same price… RE20 is a little more rare and more expensive…. But deals are about…

    Hello there is fake shure mv7x ???

    • @leo_hoang
      @leo_hoang  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’m not sure if fake MV7X exists, but there are definitely fake MV7’s… the MV7X is relatively cheap in itself, so I suggest just always buying it from authorised retailer if you have concerns.
      I’ve seen loads of fake SM58’s on Facebook marketplace place and they’re being sold closed to RRP…
      I personally would just check the mic capsule but taking off the windshield, unscrewing the metal mesh, and if you see yellow/green wire, that’s good enough for me to confirm for now.
      But ultimately the mic performance is the better check, but when inspecting used items you don’t always have that luxury.

      @@leo_hoang yeah I see, because in the marketplace there is a lot of shure mv7x brand new, not open, not tested for 100$

      @@Shyniz_ yeah I wouldn’t purchase a sealed one until they agree for you to open and inspect before handing over money…
      Otherwise just go authorised retailer to be 100% “Shure” lol
      There is the consideration that some on Facebook marketplace are Grey Market… if you’re unsure what Grey Market is, I also did a video on this topic if you wanted to check it out…

      Are there any fake MV7+? Did you open this and check the wire colours and the safety label etc?

    I have MV7X and trying to connect it with 3.5 jack cable, it make output sound so low and also its not detected by shure motiv +
    is it ur MV7X detected on shure motiv app?
    would love if i can have ur insta so can be more easily to connect

    • @leo_hoang
      @leo_hoang  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sure thing mate - I’ve added my insta to the video description.
      Did you mean you have the MV7+ or X? The X variant doesn’t have headphone jack. The standard MV7 and MV7+ have 3.5mm.
      I had no issues connecting the MV7+ to the Motiv app, and the MV7X is the XLR variant which wouldn’t be compatible with the app.
      I haven’t recently tried with the Fake MV7 with the Shure App’s but in the past had no issue, which was another reason why I felt it could be genuine… but I’ve since sold the mic and can’t re-test I’m afraid… hope that helps!
