I wouldn’t say Cristina is one of two biggest divas, but she definitely pays a great tribute to Etta James so much greater than any other artist, especially Beyoncé. Beyoncé is nasal, and Etta James was strictly a deep powerful voice, that could go to high notes but also had that rough, throaty edge.
Whitney Houston, RIP, would have definitely been given a much powerful portrayal of Etta James because she could take you to those high notes but also the deep, throaty ones. She also had life experiences, such as drug addiction, similar to Etta James, so she would have been able to identify with the character much better.

Christina is one of my favorite contemporary artist. She sings beautifully, but I don't know what that has to do with Beyonce, nor the need to shade her. There are many things that Beyonce can do as an artist/entertainer that Christina frankly can not do. The world is big enough for both of these talented women. Peace.

I had no idea that Christina Aguilera was a pop singer I always thought of her as a soul singer. When Aretha Franklin mentioned Christina Aguilera I had to go find out who this young lady was. And this young lady has more soul than some of the more popular pop singers who are of African descent. Example Beyonce, Rihanna, Adele and a few more. I'm not saying those women are not talented but I would rather listen to a soul singer than a surface singer. Maybe that's because with the issues of life you want to feel it in your heart mind body and soul... And that's what Christina Aguilera brings to the table. Don't throw stones at me it's just my opinion.... Don't take it personally.
