In this video, I'll show you how to use the tool, go over the features, and give you a my 7 Level System to help you improve your bends.
I made this cool little bending app for you to help you to learn not only whether you're bending or not, but to help you also to bend in tune. That's one of the toughest things for beginning harmonica players, first of all, just to know whether you're bending or not.
Sometimes I have students who think they're bending but they're not , and sometimes I have students who are bending, but they don't think they are. And so this tool is going to let you know outright, without any question in your mind, whether you're bending or not. And it's going to let you know if your bends are in tune or not. These are two really important things.

Thank you very much for this app, after using this app I found out that was bending notes without realising it! And now I can check whether the notes are in tune, and this gave me confidence! Thanks a lot again.

Hello JP, I just installed this tool. I was already trying to bend, but found it so difficult. Now I can bend the low D note, not always correct, but once in a while I'm having success. So this tool really is very good. Thank you very much to make bending easier.

Thanks for making it. This is really helping me to get my intonation dialed in. I’m only 7 weeks into learning the harp but I can bend holes 1-6 (hole 5 on my country tunes harp) and blow bend hole 8&9.

Great little helper in getting those bends spot on. I like the audio and visual means to get it right. However Can’t seem to get it working on iOS though on the iPad. The on off button won’t work except on android. Would make a great app if you could get it there. Thanks
I played with my mom's harmonicas as a child. I got a C harmonica as a secret-santa gift from a cool coworker like five years ago... BUT TONIGHT WHILE WATCHING THIS! I bent my first notes on a harmonica!!!!!!!!!

Great application.. It is very useful to learn Diatonic harmonica easily. Bending notes can be Learned without any confusion. Thank you very much 🙏🌹

@@Harmonicacom sir but don't understand the icon Harmonica (right most) in which 12TET written. As per my knowledge there is not overbend notes for C(hole no. 1) but it is shown i tried to play but can't played.

Hi.. I have a question about the # and flat. Actually, if u see in keyboard, we got some Black Keys stuck between white keys. And some songs will use those keys to get the perfect sound. But we don't have those keys in diatonic harmonica. Is it possible to play those notes on harmonica? If yes Can u make a video on that?

Hey Juv - overblows is a very advanced technique that a very small portion of the harmonica community at large uses. Even many of my favorite players like Joe Filisko, Ronnie Shellist, John Popper, Roly Platt choose not to use overblows and overdraws (even though they're capable of achieving them.) They're the thinnest and weakest sounding notes on the harmonica. That's why we chose not to include them on the BIB.
@@Harmonicacom Thanks Luke! Then another question, how do you play the low Eb (Eb3) in your demonstration for the full chromatic on the diatonic harmonica? Did you play the overblow? or did you skip that. I was trying to learn from some of your video.
....Can this app be customized to work with any diatonic , or, chromatic harmonica, (...and, what about 12, or 16 hole sized harps?)...(....and what about in Major, minor, or other scales?!)....
I don't know, but it looks like it's easy to add overblow notes. Is there a reason not to?

When I´m studying bends and I can play them, my lip muscles always contract a little, even thou I focous my attention to my throat. I believe it´s because of muscle ressonance, since everymuscle is conected to each other, isn´t it? Is this normal?

You sound a lot like Steve stine, he makes guitar lesson videos and he’s a really good teacher, maybe people with this voice are good teachers 😂

In my opinion, out of the first four notes, from easiest to hardest it goes:
1 (easiest): 3 draw
2: 2 draw
3: 3 draw
4 (hardest): 4 draw
I know this is weird and it’s backwards from the norm but that was my experience.

Hey Ralph - sorry for the confusion. It's not an app, it's just available for use on the web. Sorry. I use it quite a bit and it helps me tremendously. I know it would be more convenient if there were an app version, but hey at least it's free!
