On vintage bikes they have cranks like this note the crank pin is far from the edge/ outside unlike modern bikes? Loads of space around the road, you can machine crank was smaller and fit stuffers in case to raise cash compression or make a shaped stuffer that clears the rod. Old Villiers 210 and bsa Bantam racers swore by it. Also fill any balance holes with resin. Btw how did you get the pulse signal for the pumper cars? I was going to buy that exact one but seller said it wasn't adjustable!
I was thinking. Won't you do a rebuild on the YD100 you have? I'd like to see some performance mods implemented there now that you know more and more. I love this hobby Trent, take care.

Hey guys, My carburetor is leaking gas from the cover area which i think is called a float. Its the NT carburetor with the red cover. I checked my donut it has no holes and it wasn't stuck. Any advice?
The back wheel barrings coming loose seems to be a common problem idk if the BBR or Wheelmaster wheels are better or not haven't had a set or just a back wheel for motorized bikes yet....but something I am considering
@@DJb-ill219 Idk about bbr, I think they're fine? I would feel safer with actual sealed ball bearings, because with just balls in the hub and axle, you do have to re-tighten every once in a while, you are also tightening the balls against a race that is also a wall inside the hub. Usually you don't want to tighten it too much, nor loosen it too much, just a little bit tight while still being able to turn the axle over, without any play. Gemini wheels are $400 a set, thick and big aluminum hubs, uses actual sealed ball bearings, and looks great overall. Or buy a set for $230 from a wheelbuilder, that I know, join my discord server and you'll find him, it's Mitchell's BikeWorks. (Note I haven't bought a set from him, nor do I know anyone who uses his set, but from what he's been saying in the dms, they seem like they will last a very long time)

Hey, can someone please help me find a carburetor manifold like his, i bought a pumper carb like the the one he uses but i cant find anywhere online that sells a carburetor manifold with a flange on both ends and is straight like the one in the video. I really want to use this carb but i have no way to mount it since it has to be screwed on 😢
Best video i've seen in Months...I watched the whole entire video....GOOD STUFF BRUH
thanks
Great video now I have to go buy a bunch of stuff 😂
Man, when I see something like this, in a car/truck, motorcycle, and/or any other vehicle .... I'm gonna try to get new bearings
because they generally are damaged if you see this? You can stick new grease & go but as long as you're there, just do it ?!!
Thanks for the video, trying to navigate the small engine world & I see all sorts of deals but they seem to have bad stuff in
the kit you might buy? IDKnow, I'm new & looking to not make a $400 mistake? So I'm learning w/ you today. thanks man
On vintage bikes they have cranks like this note the crank pin is far from the edge/ outside unlike modern bikes?
Loads of space around the road, you can machine crank was smaller and fit stuffers in case to raise cash compression or make a shaped stuffer that clears the rod. Old Villiers 210 and bsa Bantam racers swore by it.
Also fill any balance holes with resin.
Btw how did you get the pulse signal for the pumper cars?
I was going to buy that exact one but seller said it wasn't adjustable!
crankcase pressure as I said in the video.
Can i use a windowed piston without a reed valve?
No. you need to understand how crankcase pressure works.
One serious question: does being deaf help prevent tinnitus riding these machines?
I'm curious, do you use a filter for your carburetor? And if not, why?
Usually, no. Because there's no need unless you're offroading, riding on gravel/sand a lot.
@trentbikes thank you for your response!
You need front bigger sprocket and rear smaller to get more speed but you will loose power a little
@@hffuaja200 I am aware..
@trentbikes What's your thoughts on the dual spark plug cooling head
Only good as a backup. Does nothing to increase performance or anything.
I was thinking. Won't you do a rebuild on the YD100 you have? I'd like to see some performance mods implemented there now that you know more and more. I love this hobby Trent, take care.
I dont have the yd100 anymore
@@trentbikes ahh nvm
@@Matthew-wj8cm imo yd100s are trash. Just a 1 piece cylinder, weak, can't swap heads
@@trentbikes you can convert to Avenger/Phantom top end. That's what's attractive to me
@@Matthew-wj8cm well yea you can swap the cylinders with many different cylinders. Athena sport uses 45mm stud spacing, studs need to be drilled to like 8.5 to 9mm to fit on 8mm studs for example.
Need help, I have an oko 21mm pwk carb, and it is not sitting level for the bowl...and the bike is not running...does the bowl have to b level?
tuning, maybe too rich
@@trentbikes Its definitely too rich. But new issue. I blew my piston rings and hope I didn't blow or gouge my cylinder.
Hey bro what engine kit do you prefer to last longer Avenger85 or BT100v2?
a85
I wish there was more parts availability in the uk
Great info, thank you for the video
you need to lace a hub or just get a new wheel with sealed bearings
Do you have pointers on how to improve the fuel delivery system?
bigger hose, bigger ID barbs etc
Just did my first build I’m so happy and it flies 🔥🔥🔥
Love it Man! 😂 👍
Nice vid bro
I need to know what cheap forks to buy for my specialized rock hopper to make my bike more comfortable to ride.

How did u reach 36 stock all mines stock and I can only do 24
@@davontihernandez1249 because you're on 44T and I was on 36T.

Those are kilometers or miles an hour?
mph obviously
@@trentbikes that is really fast. Mine doesn't exceed 40kmh
So out of all these motors being sold what would you say would be the most reliable motor I have a yd100 now thanks
Probably the avenger 85.
Don̈t get the mz65 belly pipe. Yeah it fits but header too short
To be clear I don't hate it. The stinger is just too short too and it needs header. Also 150$ holy crap I should got a smolik slip flange and yz85 pro circuit pipe
I love this channel
appreciate it
Does the 40 to 48mm intake work for the sthil carb or do i need a different one? Im tired of messing with the hp carb so after watching ur video i think im gonna swap the carb and get a different pipe and see what that gets me
you can see me using it for the 090 carb...
Excellent information! Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
i think for now ill keep the engine stuck or atleast put a new muffler and a carburator that one u said do u think it will go over 35-40mph stock speed?
Probably. If you're not satisfied with the performance then go upgrade/mod it.
Oh man. Gotta order some sealed bearing wheels. I got the rear mag still. I know the dangers but sealed bearings are great. No loosening unlike the cone nut bearing wheels. I gotta upgrade the whole frame though. I got another one for $300 and got scammed😢😢. But at least got a PWK21 in return.
Yea well it's my old beach cruiser bike that I've had since october now. My second motorized bike bicycle actually

Can you send link to the manifold your useing for that carb please i have same engine and like the idea of that carb thanks in advance
Just search it up, it was in the video..
Can you put a link to the engine you have
its a hybrid build with a 70cc athena sport cylinder kit
oh, thought this was a different video. it's an avenger 85 kit off CMB. I'd recommend hybridpowerbikes site
I made an inlet stup on cylinder by using copper pipe and liquid metal resin.
I'll try and make a video.
keep up the good work bro i love your videos!!
Appreciate it!
Wait, you're deaf? Man I wouldn't never guessed that if you didn't put on the start of this video lol, anyways what an amazing complication of info, loved this video
My yd100 vibrates a lot. In the description they said it has a balanced crank. It probably isn't so true. Also my yd doesen't want to go very high with rpm but it's totally stock so that's fine i guess.
yea they always claim things about these engines. "100cc" but is actually like 70cc or less. "balanced" but is actually like 30-45% balance factor and all that stuff.
@@trentbikes yeah yd shoud be around 78.5 cc i think. I wish i had enough stuff at home to ballance the crank myself but it's not a performance build so ill leave it as it is. My build is more like slow but got me up all hills so far.
can you do a how to on that pumper carb set up? how to drill out the holes

1 downside.
Them skinny tires aren’t meant for anything over 25mph
@@Gee-Willacres yet all my tires hold up fine over 60-70mph without issues.
Hey guys, My carburetor is leaking gas from the cover area which i think is called a float. Its the NT carburetor with the red cover. I checked my donut it has no holes and it wasn't stuck. Any advice?
do you mean the bowl gasket? either a bad gasket or incorrectly seated one. even if it's a bad one you can still re-seat it and tighten it.
@@trentbikes Can we setup a video call by chance so I can explain it to show properly?

Is the banana exhaust really bad or is it just better than the stock one? Really good videos btw 💪🏼
It is better, but you're better off with the mz65 clones as i imagine it will do way better for the price.
So much info!!! What throttle cable do you use for the pumper carb
Just a regular cable
Are you using a phone app to test head temperature?
