Thanks for the heads up on the Amazon book description adding more lines above the read more. I checked all my book descriptions and the added lines look good.
Nice! So it worked out just fine. Awesome! In theory, everyone should be good so long as they continue to hook readers so they read top to bottom. The "Read More" should be a mere speedbump for them.

Dale, something you said about the description got me thinking. I seem to have ran into a problem. I made my ebook free for a few days, and made no marketing about this other than a single post on Twitter saying "my book is free, leave a review if you like it." (Or something to that effect) and got just one or two reactions. I went from 0 downloads on the first day, to 400 on the fourth. It seems I have some (most?) elements right (description, cover, etc). People want to read my book, they just don't want to pay for it (even though it is at the minimum prize). What would you recommend in this case?
That happens more often than you know. Don't take it personally, but some folks get a free ebook and never read it. I'm sure there's some stats to back that up, but for now, it's just anecdotal. I'd say send more traffic to your product page. Market and promote that book in one meaningful way every day for the next year and you should definitely see significant results. You just have to stay consistent with marketing and promotion. Don't lose heart, stick to it! Also, nothing markets your current book like your next book. Keep pushing forward and offer more books for your potential readers to discover you.

Did they??? I don't see it when I visit the site. Maybe they're split testing something with you. The page count should still be directly below the description on desktop. I double checked and it looks like it's on both Kindle and print books.
@@selfpubwithdale I’m still not seeing it on some books. I read a lot of books every year , but I like to keep them under 222. The last four I went to download did not have a page count so I didn’t get them. Also do I need to take my books of Vella before going to KDP ?
Yeah, from what I understand so far, it won't be necessary till sending out high volumes of emails. I'm sending out just below that threshold. Most likely, I'll just hire a pro and be done with it later.
