Oh, this does hurt. I have been so fond of Julian for so long. And this is one of my top 5 romantic films ever. Rest in peace, you lovely man. You are missed. Always.
Haven't this movie in a while. The tragic news about Julian Sands missing on Mt Baldy since 13th January brought me here. Superb acting by everyone in this pivotal scene of the movie. The pain and torment of missing a loved one for nearly a month with no updates or news...💔 My heart goes out to his family.
I wish Julian Samds had gotten the Oscar non for supporting actor instead of the actor playing his father. His child like heart, love of nature, chivalrous ideals and eccentricities make him the most vibrant and interesting character in the film.
That’s a thumbs up of support not a thumbs up of happiness about your situation. We were all fed to the wolves. The entire cast of this movie were also wolves. The devil does appear as an angel of light. But only the Lord Jesus brings true Light and Life and Truth and we are in the last days.. ❤🎉🕊 The Beast has only a short time. The wolves will soon be de clawed and de fanged. They only hurt themselves in the end..
Julian Sands love to act but I think if he had a choice between acting and hiking he would choose hiking I think that sometimes he would rather be hiking on a big mountain than being in movies at least he died doing what he really love.
@@rumblefish9 Yes, I've enjoyed both of them several times over the past 3 decades. They're all fine examples of classic writing and superb movie making and performance.
Yes me too. I think they thought they needed to have a roll and or wallow in the mud in order to prove they were real men and it is part of the hero’s journey and a rite of passage into manhood or something.
I doubt that, but as a railroad conductor, they'd have to live very frugally. It's all a moot point though, as this is the brink of WW1 and George would probably be killed.
RIP Julian Sands (January 4, 1958 - January 13, 2023), aged 65
You will be remembered as a legend.
Vale Julian, I saw "Room with a view" as a young boy. Loved it, the story and you. ❤❤
The movie is so wonderful. The cast, scenery, costumes & music are perfect.❤

The glance of Cecil trying to swat a fly is genius

Heartbreaking 🙏
Well said. Yes this movie was profound years ago now has special meaning ...I feel he was not revered enough in his time here ❤
In fact he was missing for five months.
@@collie3350 When I wrote that comment, he'd been missing for nearly a month. Glad they finally found him for his family's sake.
Have your own thoughts and feelings even while I hold you in my arms...LoveLoveLove

Julian Sands was the perfect George. RIP.

Whatever the outcome I hope he is found. So tragic.
It is so very sad, wonderful actor and a beautiful man. I fear he'll not be found alive now.
indeed
We found his remains while hiking off-trail in Goode Canyon yesterday. Search his name for the latest news about him.
Good family man now he's gone too early. RIP Julian Sands.
I love all that flows from E.M.Forster

I wish someone had spoken to me like this before I had married my husband, but my mother fed me to the wolves.
Are you still married to that husband?

@@MarianMurphy-rz8ej Go on being a believing in God, but cut out the devil nonsense, Madam. There is no such thing. Or person. God bless you.
In the novel this part is portrayed beautifully. But this scene do justice to this part of the novel.
may my future husband be like him
❤❤❤❤❤...whew !
So this is where Dream Theater got the quote
QEPD el señor sands un gran actor lo conoci mejor como el brujo warlock una gran pelicula de accion y terror.
25+ years later I've finally found the scene used in Space Dye Vest.
Julian Sands love to act but I think if he had a choice between acting and hiking he would choose hiking I think that sometimes he would rather be hiking on a big mountain than being in movies at least he died doing what he really love.
Space Dye Vest

What movie is this?
A Room With A View. Based on the book by EM Forster.
One of the BEST movies ever made.
@Miriam A. ZAVALA Agreed. I love the themes and principles of this film.
@@jasminderpinder Merchant Ivory have adapted EM Forster's works brilliantly. Howard's End and Maurice being the other two.
@@rumblefish9 Yes, I've enjoyed both of them several times over the past 3 decades. They're all fine examples of classic writing and superb movie making and performance.
I love that scene. But I’m afraid no one could ever get close to my heart after all this manipulation.
Yes me too. I think they thought they needed to have a roll and or wallow in the mud in order to prove they were real men and it is part of the hero’s journey and a rite of passage into manhood or something.
Ah yes, did he really Love Lucy? I mean really Love Lucy?
And is anyone ever going to address the fact you cut squiggles in my eyes? Why would I want to let you close to my heart again?
These videos take a toll on my eyes and you already harmed them and accused me of killing Eddie. Why would I bind myself to any of you?
She's meant to marry Cecil. George cheats on her and impoverishes her.
Bwahahaha!😅
Cecil is probably gay. This is an EM Forster novel.

@@SisterJanet all of them are gay. Most historians believe that Lucy mirrored Forster.
