We're going on the Mardi Gras in August, our second cruise. Thank you for the tips, will do our best to follow the "skip the buffet" advice. I definitely agree with the one about getting involved in the activities. We were on Vista in March and I was one of the Village People for the VIP show. What a blast! Looking forward to Shaq's Big Chicken and the Blue Iguana breakfast burritos. Oh, and some chocolate melting cake.
Seeing as how the water is made from the seawater and filtered to make it potable it’s not essentially tap water. Save the $18 and bring a water enhancer and a water bottle.
You can carry on canned water along with pop, if you take pop which we don't. Drink drink pop. You don't have to go super early on the older ships like you do on the newer ships at the Lime Light. You do NOT have to purchase pictures, on our last cruise we did more pictures than ever because of this one photographer. We also found out the more a photographer takes the better it is for "review" time. Even if you don't buy the pictures. At least that's what our favorite guy told us, I can't remember his name off hand, I have it saved on my phone and I'm not on my phone. We spend more time at the buffet and we're considered "seasoned". We're NOT a fan of the pizza either. Some cruises have MULTIPLE Facebook Groups, especially Journey cruises.
I do everything digitally but I backup my boarding pass by also printing it out. It has served to me well on more than one cruise, where my phone was just not working when I needed to show my pass. Since I've started doing this I've never had a delay getting on the ship. And I travel on many Cruise lines not just Carnival.
I love the chocolate melting cake. I totally agree I order it every meal.
The buffet is good.

Where can you find water in a can… I am having a problem finding it…
Wal-Mart sells it.
You’re right, it is antiquated of Carnival not to have a fully digital embarkation system.
16. Funfetti cheesecake on embarkation day 17. New midnight buffet
The buffet is first dinner and second lunch!
great video
