Happy to see you building a bathtub Nash AirFlite. I hated the look of these when I was a kid and up into my 40’s. But now that I am an old duffer, (as in old guy) I am enjoying the style and original engineering of these cars a lot more.
For this body, I am not a fan of the regular hot rodder traditional 4 link design and the way it gobbles up space under the car and eats into the and raises the floor. Your losing chair, leg and head space out of this roomy coupe. It not only eats up space, it’s really only good for going fast in a straight line on a smooth road. It does lot like corners and.bumpy roads. Personally, I would shoot for a lower 2 trailing link, center torque arm extending to the transmission cross member with a Watts linkage to locate the side to side movement of the rear axle. This car already has a pretty efficient and stiff perimeter box frame rail design underneath. Why not take advantage of that and keep all that bodacious space inside the car that these cars are known for?
Nash did offer V8 engines from either Packard or Studebaker in the ‘55 to ‘57 time period before these bodies were redesigned. You might have a look under one of those v8 motored cars to see how the set it up to handle V8 power and torque.
No need to take a good car chassis design and turn it into a high rider pickup truck chassis.

There's a f***book group for nash parts. I found a guy that can get ALL of the door and window seals!
Also, I just inherited one of these when my dad died about a month ago. The floor is GONE. I will be building a full chassis with roll cage. What axle widths do you think you will have to be able to fit inside the outer wheel wells?? What front suspension width do you plan on using?

      Hello
Could you please tell me how can I find window and door seals for Nash?
I have 1953 Nash and I really need new window seals for this car.
