Justice, D.G. Kio, in his judgment, said the recent extension of local government chairmen’s tenure was invalid in suit number PHC/1320/CS/2024, a case instituted by Enyiada Cookey-Gam & 6 Ors vs. The Governor of Rivers State & Ors.

I thought that man is straight forward man but i can see obvious sentiments in his comments and standards.
Yes, i won't say he should support the governor if he's disobeying court orders and rules of law, cos one idiot did so in the past 📌
But why is nobody talking about where this whole political fights emanated frm?

Example: It's unlawful and a crime to kill somebody, in that same law there's what's called a self defense which most times leads to killing somebody....and before the court of competent of jurisdiction, it's no offense......
This man helped Fubara became governor of Rivers State, beautiful and nice 👍

How can Gov Fubara hold LGA elections when the entire political structure was plotting against him and the rivers people to favour his predecessor.
Wike came into power and annulled elections done prior to his entry.
Wike used Care taker Chairmen in his 2 tenures, whilst this rubber stamp Assembly members were on seat.
He said on national TV he owns all the political office holders in the state because he imposed them.
The 4th realm should speak for the people.
What is the feelings of the generality of the Rivers People ?

From the federal level way down to the school boards and other lower level elections in America, they abide by the rules and regulations as already stated in the books. Any INTENTIONAL OOJORO is punishable by prescribed laws. Some years ago, A Nigerian American who has been in America for almost 50 years ran for a major of his city. He won the election and became the mayor. Not too long after he became a mayor, the NIGERIANESS in him started manifesting.. . He started taking bribes ,kickbacks and other illegal activities of UNBECOMING A CITY MAYOR.. People noticed his illegal acts and found a way to set him up. They laid a TRAP for him. It didn’t take long before he fell into the trap. As I’m posting this, the man is still serving his time in prison.
Their system is not 💯 percent perfect, but our system is no where close to the way they do things.

Even if the tenure of local government chairmen will be extended it should be done by the counselors not state assembly
Yes,three members of the Rivers House of Assembly can rightly operate as 2/3 of the house
They can merge those state electoral commissions to INEC, and make all elections same day, from presidential to LGA council

Good evening Nigerian. Don't fall into illegality of politicians. The Governor is wrong . Why not conduct local government election three months ago why caretaker committee. Two wrong can not make a right.

How on earth can Gov Fubara hold LG elections when the majority of the now former LGA Chairpersons and former State House of Assembly members are loyal to the Minister of Abuja, FCT...taking instructions from the former Rivers State Governor, to make Rivers State ungovernable for Gov Fubara?
LG Administrators must be appointed with immediate effect and the State can then begin preparations for LG elections.
This is what the majority of Rivers State people want to happen.
It’s a war between TWO JUGGERNAUTS …Wike vs Fubara.
Wike wants his “POLITICAL STRUCTURE AND LEGACY “ to remain in the state forever, and the best way to do it is by using those local government chairmen who are his cronies.
At the end of this drama, if the tenure of the chairmen are extended or a new election is held, more than likely, it will favor Wike. Reason being that those chairmen have firm control of their local areas and they can impose WIKEISM on their populace.
On the other hand, Fubara’s move not to call for an election, but rather appoint interim administrator, will clearly favor Fubara. The reason being that the new comers will be Fubara’s cronies and they will help erase everything about Wike in Rivers State.
That’s the truth of the matter …

Mismanagement of state and local government is the problem of Nigeria.
INEC cannot take the responsibility of conducting elections for local government because president can influence INEC to ensure his party wins all local government councils in Nigeria so INEC must not be allowed to assume that responsibility
I think the analysis of liborous was on point. Two wrongs cannot make a right. At this point, the court should also quickly as fast as yesterday state their stand on this issues. The people of Rivers cannot wait to see developments in their states and I think gov Fubara is ready to deliver but for this side distractions. Now we can see that there is something wrong with our constitution. This constitution is not uniting Nigerians.
