- This was amazing! One of the Ross males was present too.
Fingers crossed because the older cubs are so big and rough when they play.
Keep in mind it can go wrong. I've seen this before. This is a very difficult time for small cubs.

The injured male looks amazingly better than before. No one thought he was going to survive it. Now look at him put a miniscule amount of painful weight on it! It was this important to him to go see his sisters cubs for the first time with the rest of the family, the day she introduced them to the pride. Who knew lions even hosted such events, & our injured male was not going to miss it for the world. Incredible footage!! I feel privileged to have witnessed this.🌹

That female cub is going to a fierce lioness. The genes in this pride needs to be bottled. All of them have such chiseled faces and they are fierce too. Those males are privileged to be their pride leader.
Lions live such complicated social lives. I bet those two babies thought that they were the only lions in the world. What a shock to see so many bigger lions!

I love how Dad introduces himself and announces that he's the boss, as if everyone didn't know. He shows he's both powerful and kind. Very lovely. Sweet cubbies and beautiful lionesses. I worry about the injured male, of course.

We were very privileged to see something very few humans ever get to see: lion cubs being introduced to their pride for the very first time! Because we've had the good fortune to see these cubs as they began emerging from their natal dens and explore their world for the first time, we've been able to track their movements. And we know from the mother's protective growling and nervousness when the pride approached that this was their very first introduction. Mama Lion growled at the cubs/subadults who gave her & the cubs a wide berth. The adult lions were more aware of the situation and familiar with that motherly nervousness and mostly kept a respectful distance without paying her too much attention. It was nerve wracking for us, but just another day in the life of a lion pride! I was happy to see the young injured male. As long as the pride continues to feed him, and the males don't injure him further he will heal.
Thank you so much for posting this incredible sighting! This is something that was an extreme privilege to see live, but worth watching again & again for every thrilling moment!

I definitely agree that this momma lioness is absolutely huge. Beautiful little cubbies. So full of zest. Life is so awesome for them. Unfortunately they have no clue what this big bad place called home is all about yet. Those faces are beyond cuteness m. And meeting all them big scary lions ya help mom.. scary indeed. What a moment! What a sighting filled with magic & wonder! Lions r so enigmatic, majestic & singular in their existence. They r intelligent beings with a complex & an unforgiving social fabric. To view this is to realize that we need to be better humans with better understanding, empathy & compassion to appreciate, to protect the lion & wildlife. Omg, cubbiessssssssssss, how do I love thee? The cub making the “stink face” from the elephant poo is way too funny! I’ve never seen a cub make that face, only young adults/full grown lions/tigers.

Dad made his grandstand showed the cubs, "I'm the king of this pride, you better behave or else" and you can see the baby was kinds of scared of his big dad. Such a huge muscle handsome tough man. Their mom is huge for a lioness and beautiful too. Looks like there is white lion in the DNA. Mom is covering all angles with one eye closed and one open. "Don't mess with my babies"!

Was very cool that the older lionesses came over and stayed as if to offer help should something go wrong ( earlier in the day all the lionesses thinking *oh, great, Mr. Grumpy Pants shows up on the day we get to meet the babies😒" Thank you for these clips! I get to share these with my friend who just doesn't have the time to watch for 3 hrs. Thank you so much! 💕

I am really shocked by the fact that only 23000 lions live in all in Africa in free nature. 😪😪 May these sweet cubs grow to adulthood and become strong lions/cute lionesses.

Dear Diary, It started off a quiet day. I played with ellie poo as mum called it. It's fun until it gets stuck between your teeth. Mum told us were joining the pride. I didn't understand. I thought we were the pride. Wow, diary, it was a long line of lions and then dad. Dad scratched in the sand. Mum said it was to show he was in charge. I just watched. Thanks 2011 ACVVV and you're still in my prayers.

@Linda from California hello friend! This was absolutely incredible. I'm so glad I was watching this live! Mama Lion was really growling at the youngsters, but they respected her and kept their distance. If they were younger I'd be more worried, but subadults this age seem more aware of the new cub's fragility. I have great hopes of watching these cubs grow up with the pride and many more exciting moments to come!

What puzzles me about the tolerance of the Ross males toward the injured sub-adult male, is that it looks to me as though he is eventually going to be a lot bigger than either of them.
Am I mistaken in that?

Just love those cubs. That little girl is sooo cute. She needs a big ball of yarn and some toys to play with instead of Elephant poo. I want to pet them sooo bad. Just darling.

This was awesome but scary to watch, one lioness and two sweet defenceless cubs seeing those huge lionesses and lions coming over and no knowing what the reception will be. Hope it all goes well now and they live together in harmony. Strange that none of the other lionesses have cubs.
Thats because they are mothers to the youngsters of the pride.
Cubs want to know if the talking fellow is edible. They are so cute.
The sub adult male is still limping, hope can get full recover from it. and also best wish for the two little one

It looked like one of the males was limping - the one who laid down farthest away.
Yes, that one suffered a nasty injury to his back leg about a week ago. Don't quote me on this, but I believe it was one of the Ross males who gave him a beat down, wanting him gone.

2 things:
1) Kevin Richardson is the first person who I have learned from concerning Lions, and Elephant 💩 Poo! I wouldn't be surprised if there is a specific video from The Lion Whisperer that talks strickly, and humorously about Lions & Pacyderm POOPY. He says it's like Catnip for Lions, or an Aphrodisiac to Leo Panthera.
2) WHAT is the name of the bird that is singing in 90% of Mala Mala videos??? I Always hear the heartbeat, or breathing rhythm of that particular bird making it's unmistakable caw, cawww, caw, cawww, caw cawww.... Over and over again. Don't get me wrong! I like the song that's being sung; But it's a little frustrating not knowing what type of Bird is doing the song.
