    I've been running the same exact Simpson pressure washer for 5 years now. Leave it on the trailer and run 200ft of hose no problem. Never have to take it off the trailer. The pump just went out last week. Ordered a new General pump for it instead of the CAT. Looking to also purchase a 5.5 gpm and use the 4gpm as a backup. Definitely do not need a 8 gpm with what I'm doing. Definite overkill. I'm not doing big commercial buildings or 10,000 square ft homes. Only get it if you need it.

    I remember that video. I remember you saying something about not needing to upgrade. I may be mistaken.

    The Dewalt DXPW60606 is a 5 gpm unit at 3000 psi. It’s a great starter machine if you have the money. The machine is advertised at 4 gpm. I can comfortably run a 20” surface cleaner.

  • @TheFreshRinse
    @TheFreshRinse 5 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    You ask “Why does a 5.5 machine even exist?” One possible answer is this: the 5.5 pump will operate on the same gear ratio as the 4 gpm. So, for $450 you can upgrade from a 4 gpm to a 5.5. It’s a decent upgrade for the guy on a budget.
    Hey, great video. I just hit the subscribe button.

      And yet I totally agree, jumping from 4 to 8 is a much better upgrade when the funds allow.

      See now that was my thought process i have a 3500psi at 3.5gpm on a 13 horse briggs. Now i can buy an AR 4000psi 5.5gpm pump for $360 ( it will only produce 2500psi at 5.5 on a 13 horse) but that's still a big upgrade from the 3500 @ 3.5 and i feel thats a good and cheap jump but im not a pro so i cant say that with certainty but i think that's what i will do i was going to upgrade to a 4000psi @ 4gpm pump but for the same price i can have the 5.5 so i figure hell why not?

    In your opinion is hot water more headaches? I've talked with the folks who build trailers here in GA and well I get mixed reviews. Hot water isn't necessary, unless required. Yes it definitely helps but I head the problems out way the benefits? I have 2 5.5 machines I ran a parking deck with.... 3 stories took 1.5 days with the two of the large steel eagle's and 2 4 gpm used to rinse behind the surface eagle.

    • @AaronsLeanMeanAcademy
      @AaronsLeanMeanAcademy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I haven't had any real problems with my hot unit, but I also have only used it about 10 times. In some situations they ask for it, but they really don't know why they're asking for it. Watch the cold storage video I put out. Without a doubt we wouldn't have been able to do that job without hot water. 32 degrees, and frozen dough on the ground. Cold wouldn't touch it. So idk, if nothing else it warms my hands in winter. lol

    Would a hot water 4 GPM be sufficient for auto fleet cleaning? Trucks, vans, cars. Tnx

  • @davogifman542
    @davogifman542 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    So where do you get your water to fill up your tank,and is it expensive? An how often do you fill your tank? Because at 8 gpm with your tank capacity an bleach doesn't that only give you a
    71 minute run time before your filling up again? Sorry that I have so many questions about it. It's just I'm about to make the big leap myself,and quit my regular job to commit full-time,to my business,because I know it makes money; I made made almost $70,000 in 100 days last year by working almost every one of my days off. An now that my truck is paid off I'm about to invest almost $10,000 into the easy Kleen EZ03708G-G. It's 8gpm 3700psi Diesel with 800,000 btu burner. So my last question is did you buy your set-up,or build it? An any advice about what to do with the queasiness I've been feeling in my gut since I've made my mind up about this "Big leap." LoL Thanks for any help,and for your videos. Keep on keeping on...

    • @AaronsLeanMeanAcademy
      @AaronsLeanMeanAcademy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yea just know the queasiness leaves when you jump. You’re prolonging it and opting for the long slow spanking, just get the quick one over with! 70k part time is easily doable, what about full time?! Dude it’s yours to have, claim it.
