    On carrier / Bryant furnaces like that. Pull the limit. Feel inside to the right and left. Those love to crack in the dimples of the heat exchanger and you can feel the cracks

    we had an very old 2 family house remodeled for rentals the furnaces had no blower fans at all its was gravity type with large ducts we never seen it before and during tenant use of heating though winter it was very high gas bill ! i told landlord those need to be replace with blower type as gravity feed is sooo inefficent! we purchased 2 slightly new blower type furances and had someone delivered to the basement and next day someone just stole them right under our nose ….dang it

      @@throttlebottle5906 If you make money on the property, you can write a depreciation schedule on the asset such that it offsets profit on taxes.
      High efficiency makes great sense for business applications, so that you can claim the rebates, have lower operating expenses, an active parts supply chain that doesn't involve ebay, and depreciate the asset over the useful life, which you can set at shortly beyond the major component warranties.

    I'm not surprised to see those furnaces in the condition they're in because that complex most likely has sat empty for a very long time and it's actually common to see that with similar buildings since most people want either houses or subsidized apartments to live in around this city. If you like Lennox stuff you would probably like my furnace which is a Concord 80% from the 90's and has been giving me issues for about two years now and is very annoying.. lol

    • @HVACRSurvival
      @HVACRSurvival  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      This was a bar with 2 apt up stairs that just closed. So it had been used up till resent. I use to like Lennox when they were good but I don't classify Concord as a equal with Lennox, The Ducane and Air-Flow brand products are about as close to a clone as you can get minus the fancy features

    Definitely learned something when watching your videos, truth be told I’ve only ever seen a gas furnace once (where I lived it’s mostly wood, reverse cycle or indoor gas heater) and I was trying to diagnose this Brivis unit. My uneducated conclusion was Indonesian geckos had shorted out the logic board 😂 After I fixed the “hailing master controller” issue on the thermostat. Cleaned the burners, checked the connections etc but deader then a dodo. Ah well it wasn’t needed anyway since it wasn’t cold.
