just got my lx200 gps 2005 autostar II firmware upgraded using new online amazon rs232 to usb connection, to ms windows 10, resolved control box display shutdown after power up. highly recommend get firmware upgraded ..... this beast is to sweet to lay to rest, load the firmware and get it out ....
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I purchased the Meade LX200 Screw upgrade kit from Gary. also purchased CLUTCH KNOB UPGRADE for both sides of fork arms. Just wanted to say Thanks. my 14 year old LX200 is Bullitt proof. When I purchased my telescope Meade didn't have a parts department. no way I could have done these repairs without these videos. ✌

Thanks to MeadeMods I was able to save my Meade LX200GPS 10" after the female threads on the clutch plate assembly stripped out. I ordered his upgraded Dec Clutch Knob and now she's back in action!
The cap head screws you used what are their sizes and lengths. Cap head screws on the drive, circuit board and anywhere else you changed out. Did you enlarge the diameter of the one on the drive adjustment?
I have a Meade 12in LX200 the instrument when slewing begins to slow then stop in azimuth. How can I adjust the clutch in RA . The motor continues to run but the scope stops, if I touch the fork it then starts again. Thanks Garry
I have an ETX-105PE and the declination clamp won't unlock. It's like something slipped inside and now the knob just turns but won't loosen or tighten the clutch. Do you think i could defork then disassemble and rebuild the clutch to fix it? How complicated is the assembly? i can't find any good videos referencing that part of the ETX models. Thanks
Hi. What type of grease do you use? I see you have alignment marks on the clutch, please explain. I have forks off an LX200 classic for my LX50 and it was in bits when I got it, due to the declination drive not working.
