As someone who falls under that category I can say the only one confusing me was when _Memories_ is immediately followed by _Freaks_ because those bits are a new kind of similar.
Oh, btw, I actually played this song a few months ago for my piano exam and managed to pass with distinction (29/30). The examiner commented, "This song has been played to successfully express its rich character and allowed you to showcase the best of your abilities. Impressive!" Thank you for providing me with such a beautiful piano piece. Appreciate your efforts in composing this piece of music! Keep up your amazing work! :)))
I appreciate the cleanup you did here, especially more clearly identifying each different segment. I would like to contribute a possible addition. Parts of the epilogue from Super Mario RPG, "Goodbye Geno/Dreams Through Window Stars" might fit, though perhaps not as tightly as the pieces already present.
This makes me smile. I learned to play piano by ear as a kid, and Canon was one of the first songs I mastered... i remember doing mashups like this for fun on the piano... I want to start playing again.
Canon in D is my absolute favorite piece! ❤ I just saw your "Canon in D but got distracted by Nintendo songs" and instantly subscribed. Thank you for these...I can't play and love the piano. 😊
im glad you find them useful! it really doesnt take much extra effort to prepare them, and it gives people a much deeper way of interacting with my creations, which i just really like to see. not sure why i just felt so inspired to write out a longer reply here, but thank you!
no way. the anglophonic internet is a small frickin world yet again. i JUST found out a tokiponer made this video. i had no recollection of who it was. didn't ingrain the username into my mind. this is somehow more surprising than DougDoug being John Stanley Parable's brother i might forget in a few months and be surprised again, we'll see. just in case, hiii future meeee did you click ijo Stella's profile for no reason againnnnn???
Just to repeat what I commented on v. 1, it's a masterpiece. While I like the cleaned-up notation of this version with the additional performer information, I honestly like the last five bars in the first version better because the re-ermergence of the Canon tops the whole thing off better in my opinion.
I have no idea how I got here but I'm like #456, very satisfying. Thank you for labeling the different songs in the mashup sheet music, it all combined together really smoothly, well done! 💜
There is a song on the mother 3 ost, called "Magipsy's home, sweetie pie" wich I believe it has the similar chord progression, like "A real boy!" From Deltarune
If you were to revisit this, I'd love if you added "A Real Boy!" from Deltarune Chapter 2. In the original song, you can hear the same falling background chords from Canon in D Major.
dude, Nice improvement but I wish you could put night walk from Rhythm heaven, It has the same chord progression too. th-cam.com/video/eZ0R__9ris8/w-d-xo.html
with this piece, the main thing is to have the left hand play its sequence as if automatically, without you having to think about it. you can then fully concentrate on the right hand and play the melodies you might even already have a feeling for naturally. especially when playing faster, it becomes easier to totally separate the two rhythms from one another in your mind and just focus on the melody you know and want to play
oh you mean in that way :p in that case, i dont really know how to help you, since writing rhythms in musescore is generally quite intuitive. the only slightly weird thing in that measure is the final note, which is actually written in a different voice (you may notice it turns green instead of blue when the cursor goes over it) so the quarter note before it can still be held for the entire rest of the measure. in your toolbar, there should be a field with the numbers 1 2 3 4, and clicking the 2 lets you edit the second voice which has a rhythm independent from the first voice. you can then enter that one note in that voice and delete all the rests or make them invisible for a cleaner look. however, since flutes (to my knowledge) generally arent capable of polyphony, you may want to not do that and instead just turn the quarter note into a dotted 8th note and write the last note as usual in the first voice. hope this helps
Love how it went from pop songs and straight into a string of Mario games lmao
Johann Pachelbel - pop star and video game composer. Truly a man before his time.
Truly one of the songs of all time. It makes me feel. I was and i just can't.
Truly, like, ten of the songs of all time
i burst into treats
@@SullySadface But are they sweet or salty, those treats?
it's funny that someone that didn't know canon in d might think that every song copies the chords of memories due to their very high similarities
As someone who falls under that category I can say the only one confusing me was when _Memories_ is immediately followed by _Freaks_ because those bits are a new kind of similar.
I first heard Memories on the radio and I was so damn confused, like this is Canon in D wut
I didn't know the Sticker Star title theme and went and looked it up. Yo, that track is a fuckin BOP.
Pachelbel just ripped off Hook by Blues Traveler.
I don’t think there’s anyone don’t know cannon in d
That transition from Freaks to Raining Tacos **chef's kiss** perfect! :D

Did they actaully think that it was canon?
@@plumjet09well, this is obviously **Danon.** Not Canon, or Fanon either.
That was satisfying to watch. Loved hearing Gourmet Race. By far one of my favorite Kirby soundtracks 😁

Love how memories and freaks literally almost are exactly the same seriously tho this is a great mashup all around!
Ooh “A Million Dreams” from The Greatest Showman soundtrack might fit well with this 🤔
Why is the Pachbel Rant going through my head right now? 🤣
same here. also the basket case transition.

I Can Be Your Friend (VeggieTales) has the same chords to Canon in D, just one half step up.
Love the transition! It was so smooth that it was barely noticeable! Nice job! :)) 10/10!
Scatman's world? Absolutely my favorite part, it makes me tear up.
Your channel is so underrated homie 😭
I literally was listening to Memories the other day and was like "Huh the first bar sounds a lot like Canon D," then I saw this video
this actually sounds so good, damn.
I've listened to version one about 30 times now, it's so good. Thanks for these masterpieces

Low Key, I want something like this for my upcoming wedding 😍
Would it be crazy to ask if you'd be interested in putting something together?
Fab mashup! The other songs have been beautifully blended in together; they all sound like they belong from the Canon.😄
"There are no accidents, only variations."
I have no idea how I got here but I'm like #456, very satisfying. Thank you for labeling the different songs in the mashup sheet music, it all combined together really smoothly, well done! 💜
Nice job keeping the essence of the song through all the variants!
I feel like using Graduation is a little cheating, because the melody is based on Canon in D, but that's fine because it's a great song
if you’re still taking suggestions for songs that can be added… WHERE ON EARTH IS VERDANTURF TOWN FROM RSE?! That sounds VERY similar too
verdanturf doesnt have quite the same chords, but i do have some other pokemon music on the list!
subrella from super princess peach features this very progression too
tbh i’d kill to see mcr in one of these, also freaks is a very good song
the Black Parade! 🤘🏻
thank you for showing the common motifs :D
I have realized Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku and Furukawa-P's Alice also use that chord progression...
Same goes to Dokkan Dokkan (Dragon Soul) has it.
I was listening to one of the songs and thinking how well “Plant” from the Cave Story soundtrack would fit.
I am literally learning this on the harp rn. It started of as a joke and now it’s a challenge how fast I can get my finger to move XD.
Best mashup I've heard
There is a song on the mother 3 ost, called "Magipsy's home, sweetie pie" wich I believe it has the similar chord progression, like "A real boy!" From Deltarune
Reminds me of an old video ranting about Pachelbel from 2006 done by RobPRocks
Amazing! It's a great mashup. For the final chord perhaps should be a little lighter and use a ritardando in bar 72.
Sounds so nice 😊
2:01 IT’S RAINING TACOS
Aww, I wanted to see the synth line of Take On Me.
I wonder, if I ever get married, if I could sweet talk my uncle into playing this version.
This is beautiful, is there a printable sheet somewhere?
yes, the pdf is in the description
This is awesome! Thank you for sharing.
we need more lol
Canon in NintenDo Mashup
The song is great but add beautiful in white from westlife too
1:01 i swear it sounds like “beautiful in white”
thats so slay
AMAZING!!!!!

Dream Team best game fr
when you don't include Gold Island from MSM
"All Together Now" has the same progression.
If you ever revisit this, I have a couple songs you can add in:
Blank Space by Taylor Swift
Animals (I don't know who that one is by)
dude, Nice improvement but I wish you could put night walk from Rhythm heaven, It has the same chord progression too.
th-cam.com/video/eZ0R__9ris8/w-d-xo.html
someone needs to play this at their wedding.....only true nerds would get it lol
anyone else expecting basket case?
Correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t these all the same songs as the original video you did?
chapters please?
added!

@@stella_s yea i understand that, but im like converting the piece to a flute piece using musescore 3 and cant figure out how you make that rhythm.
