all these women are recording their work out for what reason? to post on social media so thousands of people can stare at them because they think their hot stuff and too get adulation for it and told how pretty they are... were thousands of men will jerk off to them working out instead of just looking at them at the gym. maybe men wouldn't just stare and not speak to women in the real world if they were not so afraid of having a woman scream perv or some crap for simply showing interest in them in the real world. what the hell is wrong with their brains? for real send people this dumb all to an island. not to mention asking a man not to look at a naked women is asking him to fight every naturally born with instinct we have. if women like this were actually afraid and uncomfortable at the gym they would not wear skin tight or revealing cloths only then i would think they sincerely not want the attention. but if you were cloths that make you look naked then scream perv wen someone looks at you you have irrational mental issues.

Really funny story. I'm in the gym one day and it's hella busy. I can only get half of the cable fly rack because a pair of women are using the other side. So, I'm doing my cable flies one pec at a time while these girls are doing some kind of pull-down right next to me. I'm really focusing, staring straight ahead ... then I realize that I'm staring right into the ass of one of these girls moving my arm downward in a lateral motion toward her while she is slightly bent over doing her pull-downs.
This turned out in the best way possible. We both looked up to the mirror to check our forms at the same time and realized what it looked like, laughed, then readjusted to make it less awkward. But to your point, I had done a whole set before I realized that I had been staring directly at her ass the whole time.

One time this one girl walked in front of me and started doing squats without me cognitively noticing. I was literally in another dimension within my mind when she glared and yelled at me. I think the common thread here is narcissism - these girls think that everyone is staring at them as a sort of confirmation bias. There are a couple of pieces of evidence that I used to come to this conclusion. The first is recording your workouts. Now I know there is benefits to recording yourself working out (e.g. check your form) but I think that some of them are clearly doing it for more than that (e.g. the girl who had a wireless lapel mic on her shirt to tell her creep story). The second is that they posted to TikTok. A normal person would maybe use the footage that just happened to catch this stuff to their gym's staff as evidence beyond what the CCTV can see. But no, they posted to TikTok to do the usual "omg guys look at me, pay attention to me, let me embellish or completely create motivations for others around me in the gym so I can be a victim!". Then, as usual in our society, anyone who has a nuanced opinion of these alleged creeps must be protecting, promoting and positively pleased for them.

Ramitch, you said it well my friend. Here is my take on it, and it's not far from what your saying, These woman are under the impression that men will think they are more desirable if they are being stared or looked at. Think about it. When a women sees a man that has the ladies checking him out or congregating around him, or should he have a pretty women hanging onto or around him they suddenly find the man more desirable vs him being alone. This is a proven fact. But they mistakenly believe that men will rate them higher in attractiveness if she claims that the guys are constantly checking her out. Truth is that is not the case. We men will not rate a women one bit higher regardless if she's a loner or surrounded by a group of handsome men drooling over her. They post the video in hopes men will see this, and women too, and think oh my god she is so desirable, and I now think so much more of her. WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. Notice their fat ass is always in the video for all to see. I'm right as rain about this. I know how these type woman's brain works. They don't mind ruining someone's reputation in an effort to make others think they are so desirable in an effort increase her ranking among others.

I used to go to the gym very often (def can't now I destroyed my back and disabled), but I stopped when I first injured my back. Was there with my physio as their office was getting work done.
I was in pain and pushing myself hard, I wanted to get better, sadly not a condition where that is possible. But apparently I was looking in the direction of someone, tbh I couldn't tell it was staring off in the distance whilst literal tears were filling my eyes from pain.
I got slapped mid workout whilst working my back, ofc it scared tf put of me and made my hurt myself pretty bad. She started screaming at me whilst I'm in agony and shock, poor physio is trying to explain that no I'm currently disabled and in agony, and that I was just looking straight ahead and likely not even aware she existed, true. But no she went on a rant about how I'm a creep and disabled people shouldn't be in a gym anyway.
Got banned from that gym and refused to ever go back. Seriously it's been I think 8 or so years, and I am actively terrified of stepping foot in a gym, and learnt fast that I no longer belong in a gym, does make me a little sad. As before I hurt myself, being an idiot and valuing my job over my health, I used to go to the gym daily after work. I guess the plus side is my body can no longer use any peice of equipment in a gym, does suck in alot of ways though as if I had kept going it might have allowed me to prolong how long I could walk properly (10mins of walking and I risk losing conciousness from pain).

Yet oddly if I'd of called it out, that would be classed as a well its a fatty on a treadmill who doesn't wanna watch. • @Kazamajin08
      @Kazamajin08 ปีที่แล้ว +6

Go back to the gym. The more people stare at you, and you get on with it like it doesn't bother you, the sooner it will stop bothering you. Just like you have to train your muscles by stressing them and making them hurt, is the same thing you need to do for your insecurities. The more you stress your insecurities, the less insecure you become.
You're at the gym and someone is staring at you, finish doing what you're doing, then approach them and say:
"Hi, my name's Ashley. I've just been doing a bit of cardio/weights/etc, to get in better shape."
      *Grab your belly
"Just trying to get rid of this thing. You look in pretty good shape, is there anything that you would recommend?"
That way, if you are doing something wrong, or there is a better way of doing the exercise, they are going to be more likely to approach you to give you advice. They then become vested in your progress.

Man, it SUCKS you felt so uncomfortable that you stopped going. However I hope you didn’t take that as a reason to give up on your fitness. Also, although I don’t doubt that people did stare, do you think it was also some gym anxiety that played into it. Usually when people are new to the gym and insecure about their weight, the common fear is feeling like everyone is looking at you when they aren’t. As a gym rat and personal trainer/coach, I can say a majority of people who go to the gym don’t care about others, and sometimes are to anxious themselves to judge others.

At my gym I’m the psycho who hits the heavy bag for an hour at a time, but the other day some chicks tried pulling this with the meager looking 20 year old guy.. they were yelling stop following us at him and he wasn’t even looking at them all red in the face so I went over without taking my gloves off and said “there you are dude, sorry I didn’t get your text had my gloves on, you done warming up let’s go!” And brought him over by me and told him the score, told him he didn’t do anything wrong but the only way to win this stupid game they’re playing is elevate yourself above them. Now I work out with the kid 3x a week

The problem with these TT videos is that they create a message to young women that going to the gym is an unpleasant or seedy experience, when most times it isn’t. Gyms should ban people from filming their workouts precisely because they can breach other users’ right to privacy.
It also seems that the narcissism levels are off the scale, and these people really do think they are the centre of everyone else’s attention.
When I’m at the gym I’m far more concerned with my workout than looking and staring at someone’s turd factory.

Funny story happened 3 weeks ago. I tried out a gym close to me for the first time. I got new clothes, bottle, a Fitbit. I was raring to go. I used equipment like the rowing machine, bike, treadmill. I noticed this man kept staring at me. I was getting really weirded out because he was doing it from across the gym. He walks up to me and smirks saying "You still have your tags in your clothes. Thought you'd like to know" After I thanked his over and over, my face becoming red with embarrassment he just nods and continues to do what he was doing.
So I had been using the gym with discounts tags dangling from behind the whole time. 😂

@@bradmcgrath358 Actually because I kept looking at him, I was stuck between me staring to much at him and him staring back at me. He was across the gym too. You sort of get stuck in this awkward stand off. I really can't explain it 😂 A lot of questions came up at once in my mind about why he was looking at me from so far away. I have a shaved head (donated my hair to a wig charity for kids with cancer) and people mistake me for lesbian or trans which I admit I thought that was the reason he was staring. I'm a little tubby, hence why I hit the gym and it's my first time so I was paranoid being honest. I did think a smidge that maybe he was staring for those "creepy" reasons, but I doubt that because, well, I'm working on myself to become better. I'm not a beaut.
Like I said. I was more paranoid about being mistaken for being trans or whatever currently. Guess it depends on your insecurities what you think people are doing and thinking around yourself. But it was harmless, and a lesson to take with me to not care what people think. Especially at the gym. And to remember to remove the damn tags 😂

I am new to lifting and work out with some absolutely awesome, strong, skilled women. I watch them to learn good form and technique. Also, like everyone else, have those stare into space moments after a set, where it might look like am staring at something I'm not. Lastly, can we just stop for a moment and appreciate how beautiful the human body can be; have we got to the point where appreciation of a beautiful body cannot be separated from sexualising that body? As an ex-dancer, I grew up using my body to make art; really sad if we can no longer admire/respect the culmination of someone's hard work and effort. This is specifically why for the past 3 years I started going to the gym earlier and earlier. These days I go to the gym around 2 and leave at 3 something before women like this start flocking the scene. After lockdown when the gyms reopened, I took note of the types of people that come in the gym at the time we were forced to and it was enough for me not to want to go at 7, 6 or 5 in the morning. Attention seeking women go there to do their selfies and to blatantly garner attention. There was an incident where this heavy set, or thicc as they call them these days, white chick came to the gym in some really really short shorts and a super revealing top. As a man sure I saw but the type of workouts she was doing took the cake for me. She went to the most populate area and did squats, good for her, but every time she did a set her cheek were exposed and she had to constantly readjust her clothing. It wasn't until a female manager spoke to this chick that she reworked her clothing choice, not sure how that convo went but she sorted herself out. I see this with other grown women. Why wear something you know is going to get a reaction from people and will blatantly make you uncomfortable? Rather than having that thought, I just go to the gym when I know women in these types or clothes or just women in general are not there. Thus far size increased, cardiovascular improved, changed my work hours so I can go to work early and leave early giving my more time to sleep, and peace of mind. No distractions and whoever these women are supposedly dressing up for and desiring attention from I am sure they get it past 4 am when I am done. Like I said I saw these women all the time and it would be odd to say dress appropriately to not get unwanted attention, but who am I to tell women to use logic. DO what you want and the same result will happen. My only advice to other men, just go at a time that works for you.
