My biggest complaints are the gatekeepers and jealous people. I personally don’t care if people buy movies day one, get them on sales after streaming, slipcover or steelbook, get them for free from studios or only buy on Black Friday. Watch them as soon as they get them or just collect them to have them. They all involve the love of movies and it’s keeping physical media alive. That’s all I care about!!!
I like your points but that's everything in the world, dude! Not just physical media. I just wish that these physical media companies would just make more of everything, so everyone has an opportunity to purchase online. I think that would help fix the reseller/scalper issue.
Great video. Resellers are the worst. I did hold out on the Late Night with the Devil release hoping for the 4k. Had second sight not announce it, I would have grabbed the blu ray steelbook instead.
I think a big complaint with new releases not getting 4K is that many times studios will wait 6+ months after releasing bluray before announcing the 4K. By then everyone spent money on it and will have to double-dip if they want the better format. I agree not everything needs a 4K. When it comes to action and horror, I want the best. Whereas comedies I could are less. I still buy DVDs once in a while. Especially older tv shows. I see no need for them in HD.
When it comes to reviews, I haven't been persuaded one way or another as far as quality is concerned. But a couple of times I have seen a review of a movie I haven't seen and that review would help me decide if I wanted to blind-buy it. I do a lot of reviews. I do some mainstream titles but also like to do some that people may know little about. So I've done some bluray and even DVD reviews just to recommend titles. There are so many good movies out there that we don't know about.
I 100% agree when it comes to 4k their are some films that just dont need the 4k treatment hell i still collect dvd their are some films that come out on dvd in australia that dont get a release in America
When it comes to pricing, I am one that complains about it. But I am ok with paying more for titles from boutique labels becaue I know there is a lot involved with licensing and restoring a movie for 4K. My issue is with the major studios amping up there prices for new movies that don't need restored. I rarely buy new releases. If I want a new release, I shop on ebay looking for listings without digital codes or slipcovers. I don't care having either and have saved a lot of money that way.
@@williamdriver1959 don’t pay scalper prices! It’s going to come back into stock after all of the pre-orders are done! It’s just going to regular price which is like $110 I think instead of the $96 it was during pre-sale.

great... GREAT points! I know a few scalpers & it just makes me cringe when I hear about it. I can't do it personally. my catholic guilt trip is insane lol. the 4k point is great too! I really hate how people basically degrade & belittle sooo much just to build up a 4k release.

Physical media was so much more fun to collect before it became a niche 🤘💿🤘
As much as I respect the 4k format , I will remain a DVD/Blu-ray collector.

I wish I opted for the Second Sight on the bonus features alone!
@ yeah. I just did my unboxing video yesterday and read thru those. Pretty good stuff! I can’t wait to dive into it!
Smart takes dude, well spoken!

I hate scalpers. Some TH-camrs even talked about selling it that way. I wish them the worst luck.
I hope they never offload what they’re selling. 😂
@ I missed houses of doom and yesterday someone had it up there for 325 to 20 shippping. Today it was gone.

I feel bad selling anything for $1 more than I paid for it. 😂
