      Well we can say it's a pretty decent place to live. Worst thing: too hot; Best thing: so affordable. You'll enjoy it, and easy to access other countries in the region and beyond. Check out some of our latest videos about renting and costs. Btw, thanks for watching :)

    I'm not good at English😕but watching you two talk and enjoy the food, I feel happy because you ate and felt it.

    Vũng Tàu is also close to Núi Đất where the Aussies were based during the war. Nearby you also have the Long Phước tunnels; a bit less touristy than the Củ Chi tunnels. Vũng Tàu is of course also mentioned in the famous Red Gum song "I Was Only 19" by John Schumann. I'll link the PTSD15 Special Recording below.

      It was memorial day yesterday in the US, so this might be quite suitable to remind us the sacrifice of those in service. "I Was Only 19" th-cam.com/video/XwFDncI_i0U/w-d-xo.htmlsi=O32EviIl6DiXGl1L

      Cheers for your great comment and info. Yes, we knew most of that and we both know the Redgum song well. In fact, Steph's dad was stationed near VT and he was in fact just 19. A very sad period in history, but ... life goes on.

    Belly’s looks like a great watering hole with some back home comfort food definitely had the retirement home vibe going on

      Yes, Vung Tau attracts the older crowd, but it's a nice getaway from Saigon if you are based here!

    Really enjoyed Vung Tau but the beach was so dirty which spoilt it for us

    • @stephfromgotl
      @stephfromgotl ปีที่แล้ว

      It's true. I'd say Vung Tau is good for 'beach vibes', not the actual beach!

    • @girlsontheloose1
      @girlsontheloose1  ปีที่แล้ว

      It also depends on the season, at different times it is cleaner. Back beach is also much better than front beach.

    I saw a lot foreigners in retirement age there. Are they retired in Vung Tau?

    • @stephfromgotl
      @stephfromgotl 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, a lot are married to locals or own a business. I think it's probably the most famous place to retire in Vietnam.

    • @girlsontheloose1
      @girlsontheloose1  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, many retire there. We mention this in the video, why they come to vung tau.

      Do we speak clearly?

    • @TruongGiang_212
      @TruongGiang_212 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm just talking in particular, but in general it's easier to listen to because in our country people only know how to speak quickly
      and is fluent but can be difficult to hear so I'm quite nervous when interacting with them

    • @stephfromgotl
      @stephfromgotl ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @GiangTruong-ub7sb a little complicated. I'm from New Zealand and the US, but have an American accent, Susan is from New Zealand and Australia, but has an Australian accent. We both used to be English teachers, so I think we try to speak clearly.
