This and Rita Repulsa got me into Lightning Collection. I missed her in the 2 pack. Now that she's coming out again, I had to get her, the monsters and the Remastered Rangers. The monsters I got cheap off Amazon. I love when playing catch up with a new line to collect doesn't cost an arm and a leg, The amount of detail is crazy. I know nothing about MMPR, so these are just fun toys to look at and play with.
I hope that when the Lightning Collection returns, so too will the Monster line! It's easily been the most enjoyable to collect of the Lightning Collection, sure one or two of the monster line aren't perfect but I still love collecting these guys, and the addition of the little clay model of the Minotaur is brilliant! I got mine pre-ordered, eagerly waiting for it to come. Great review!
It looks like a good Monster figure, but there are some things that seem a bit off. The neck was thinned out to account for the articulation, but it throws off the silhouette. The colors seem a bit dark, though this may be due to the original footage being washed out compared to the reference Hasbro was using. Also, the fur is gray, but it was brown on the show. On all, it's a decent base figure and has customizing potential. I like that it comes with a mini clay version as an accessory to Finster (something all of the Rita monsters should have had). It's sad to see the line go on a hiatus, but it just wasn't popular even among fans. Ironically, it was the LC line (specifically Zedd) that got me into collecting again after 10 years or so. The wave 1 Zedd was the reason I started getting Marvel Legends as I was blown away by the detail and articulation.
Looking at the best quality image. The thinning of the neck while less accurate makes the design look less like a man in a suit. The neck isn't thick to account for the fact that it's a man's head. It's thin because he has a neck. The show suit itself is just really rough and monotone. The skin itself is a dark brown but film a rock quarry and it's all going to get washed out again some very colorful spandex. The suit has a brown fur but in the light it favors looking grey. I think Hasbro going brown/grey really helps the figure pop as all brown would have just been very monotone and boring.
I just reviewed this figure and I think it was one of the best created monsters so far. I worry bout the future of line especially with the pause in the line. 🤦🏽♂️ I do think they were striking gold by adding the finster clay model figure and I hope they continue that accessory in future releases
Just ordered him on Amazon for $22! I don't really collect Power Rangers, so scale isn't an issue for me. I'm going to use him as villain fodder for my other 6 inch figures. He can pass as a random Thor villain for sure! Thanks for the review.
I'm starting to think that one of the main reasons they choose to do mainly mmpr monsters is because the majority of them are exactly that. Monster of different things like a snake, pig and a fish. It doesn't really bother me since there's good choices for figures like Octophantom, Grumble Bee, Oysterizer and Two headed Parrot just to name a few.
I really like this figure, I have no connection to any power rangers (besides Dino Thunder and some Jungle Fury) but what I really like about the Minotaur is that it reminds of the minotaur enemy in elden ring and I want it for that purpose
Definitely gonna pick this one up! I actually really like the bigger scale of the monsters. It makes them more intimidating compared to the rangers or other figures for that matter. It just makes more sense. I don't care if it's inaccurate. A monster the same size as the rangers is lame.
Been saying this forever, kinda hard to be fearful of a "monster" that if scaled to the rangers would be shorter and smaller than some humans. Makes perfect sense for the size increase.
I hope when the hiatus ends, they have a remastered White Ranger, Lord Zedd and Goldar to usher in the return of the line (alongside the next main wave)
I was always into Greek and Roman Mythology as a kid, so this is right up my street. He looks great. As with most Hasbro figs he could benefit from a few extra oaint apps. Some metallic paint on the club's spikes and a dark wash on the grain should fix that. Maybe the ears are a little far forward on his skull and he could really do with a "bull neck". If that's how he was in the show then I don't blame Hasbro. My reasoning for the monsters being bigger than the show, is that they were limited with what they could do. A big imposing adversary makes more sense to me.
This was a nice surprise as I'm always looking for monsters from Greek mythology to go with my Wonder Woman custom and my Marvel Legends Hercules figures. Best of all it's not only cheaper than a Mythic Legions minotaur, but it's more poseable too.
Deluxe LC should have the Amor/ Battlelizer Rangers. I want Battle mode In space Red , the Winged Wild Force Red Ranger, and Lights of Orion Lost Galaxy. Maybe Lights of Orion Green ranger Vs Tekena considering both actors married each other.
Looks cool, looks like a mythic legion figure.. actually the PR deluxe figures all look good, even better having found them in Ollie’s for $15 each. :)
I canceled this when I saw another company reveal more realistic Minotaurs so this one just doesn’t cut the mustard but I don’t like most power ranger stuff so it’s not for me . I might pick up snizzard for something else tho
The monsters should be in the 1:12 scale just like the rangers. These show literally shows us their height. It was silly to do a 1:10th scale. That said, I feel like this Minotaur who is eye level with Red Ranger on the show while still taller does seem closer to 1:12 scale then King Sphinx. He's beefy but not that far off from the thickness of the suit on the show. They probably could have gotten the height down making him more stubby. But I really like how they executed the figure. All my complaints for King Sphinx are generally addressed here. Also he can just fit in any other line.
Parts like that don’t get used between the lines. The only exception is Star Wars Black Series and Indiana Jones Adventure Series, but those are both LucasFilm so kind of same.
Why are you spreading misinformation about lightning collection when you don’t work there or have actually information I am not longer gonna watch your videos very disappointing

Size wise it’s fine. Monsters are usually larger.
Puddys or standard henchmen are generally Ranger size
My Favorite so Far... i must say is Pirantishead !! I love how fun he is! 🐟
Dude mighty minotaur was one of my favorites monsters in mighty morphin power rangers.

Minotaur hype!

It looks great! I still think the best monster in the line is Tenga Warrior tho.
That’s pretty fair. I separate the 6” figures from the 7” monsters. Tenga is a better figure overall for sure
This figure looks fantastic! Can’t wait for it to arrive thank you for reviewing even more hyped now!
He looks like a badass reindeer guy lol. He does look cool for sure, might have to pick him up
Surprised and somewhat glad to see the head can look up some.
Does the rintrah baf head fit on this figure?
I hope Hasbro would also make Knasty Knight.
Is this being sold in stores? Or is it online only?

Why has Hasbro betrayed Power Rangers, why?
Anyways, Great Review!
Told you that MINOTAUR was gonna be good. 😁😁

I'd order from u

Eye guy and pirahntishead couple others I don't think you mentioned. Thanks for the review. Looks awesome
Eye guy is the one I forgot
@@MCUcollector24thanks for this. Had him in the GameStop (Canada) cart for last couple days and always put a lot of trust in your reviews.
If you have any mythic legions to compare to this beast could you post a picture?

@MCUcollector24 legend. Looks good actually. Hopefully goes to clearance and il pick one up then
A good generic Minotaur for fantasy displays.
This figure should work with Mythic Legends, or fighting Conan.
Is there some Marvel Legends Beast reuse there? The arms/shoulders/chest look familiar.

Misinformation? I literally got that information directly from Hasbro at SDCC. Emily Bader from marketing read me the direct statements
It's true tho
You must just be a troll
@@MCUcollector24 SAY THAT IN THE VIDEO
Thought I did
