- Such a great and easy day trip from Brisbanes CBD! Today come with me as I visit the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and hold a fluffy koala. Omg, truly a dream come true!! Yes they are fluffy and yes they smell just like eucalyptus 😂

Lone Pine is OK for families and anyone who doesn't want to travel up or down the coast to see a greater variety of animals. The bonus is that you can get there on the river via Citycat. Dreamworld's handlers walking big cats through the park grounds is on a different level but that's around 90 minutes by car from the Brisbane CBD.

I live in Victoria.The Australian state with both the largest and healthiest koala population.Holding captive Koalas for photo shots is banned here, because the act causes unnecessary stress for the species.If you really care, you can adopt a Koala, for $15.00 Australian, per month.

Did you have to hurry to get a ticket to hold a koala? I hear they sell out fast and am wondering if I should get there at opening to get a ticket.
Say "leaves", koalas, during snap shots. What is up with kangaroo? Hopefully well & not disabled. Boys (dogs), ' did not expect you there also.
