the stupidest part about overwatch toxicity is that usually boils down to someone getting annoyed at something small and insulting everyone else, which then turns into people reacting with slurs and hate and stupid racial/homophobic comments. it’s rare to see overwatch arguments ever have someone who genuinely is innocent. all this from a bunch of people who clearly don’t even go outside either. i genuinely enjoy the game but i can’t play comp cause i can’t play with vc on

I stopped playing recently because I felt like I am always letting my team down, especially with the ingame chat on overwatch 2 people love to point out flaws and hate instantly, its very refreshing to see how you ignore and always keep a postive as vibe! Thankyou for showing me such a good way to deal with the negativity the game can bring!

This kinda thing is why I try to be the most positive person I can every time I play. Encourage other players, root for them, hype them up when they're doing good, and try to raise morale we're doing bad. I start every game I play with a GLHF to the whole lobby in text chat, and a "Alright everyone, let's have a great game and a good time" or something similar in voice. It doesn't keep everyone from being toxic, but it helps defuse a lot of it!

@@forgottenkarma1089 tbf zen and mercy are both off healers, both of u wanna be doing something other than healing (zen has incredible damage output and mercy should be dmg boosting as much as possible), so i tend to avoid zen mercy as much as i can, as a zen main. i go kiri, bap, or moira when my other support insists on mercy cuz they have the opportunity for big heal numbers and mercy has the utility. ofc any comp can work if you make it work, but bigger numbers as zen in zen/mercy isn't anything special when ur just proactively juggling ur harmony ball and have good ults

Made me not wanna play comp and stick on QP unless I stack. Never solo queuing again lol I still played until the end but in my head I was so tempted to just not heal them at all, just DPS the whole time haha
@@sunflower9310you know if you are getting kills being a dps support is good (specially if you are winning teamfights of your dmg) BUT if their dps are just oneshoting you and you cannot even be a valuable distraction for the enemy team i would reccomend that you were a pocket support, not neccesarily mercy but if you see that you arent doing anything useful doing dmg try to pocket, usually mercy, ana, brig are very good pockets for your team and are healers that have very good survability and allows your team to not being oneshoted inmediately, if you still want to play dps as a support ONLY you are throwing your games, at least from my point of view, because you will always found that game were you cant do nothing against better players flanking by yourself

Yes I am a year late, BUT I just love it when tanks run in taking a 1 v 5 and then are like "why didn't you heal me?" and you're just sitting there like "Yeah lemme just outheal Cassidy and Bastion in turret form, a fully charged Zarya and a Baptiste shooting at you"
I love this because people now complain that the scoreboard encourages toxicity because you can see the "numbers" the other players make and use it to make assumtions while at the same time they miss the medals in ow1, that people also used to measure performances as if they were any better xd

It's funny when people start using stats as an exuse to play bad. It's like playing bastion, dying in turret form but getting like 20K+ damage, yea you do a lot of damage, you're a bastion but you got 0 value with it. I had a 40 elims match with 4k damage on sombra the other day, all my elims were on supports and DPS that were low and retreating, stopping them from recovering. It was way more valueable than have like 15 solo kills and 10k damage etc.

The fish rots from the head down, so the order of rotting is tank > dps > healer. The amount of tanks and dps that have no idea how heals works, lol. Ive made my standards as a healer so low that I give endorsements to any tanks/dps that look behind them at their healers even once in a game.
The funny Thing about this video is, that in my experience the dps with lower damage gets flamed first and very often mercy starts the flaming going like "stats Bro, trust"
