I can't even remember how many times I listened to this song. Voleti Siir has a unique style for Thodi. It is sad that he was not nominated for Sangeetha Kalanidhi. No one on earth can match to him in any ragam.
Satya Manikonda: I absolutely agree with you. I discovered this only 2 days ago, and i have not been able to stop listening to this. His alapana is like a soft light that glows in the mind, even after i stop listening.
@@balaramaaxz I am sure he would have got SK. He joins the non-SK greats such as MDR, Ramnad Krishnan, Mali, S Balachandar, Rajaratnam Pillai (Lalgudi doesn't count, he was offered and he refused) Some of these would have been considered but they died in their middle age, like Voleti garu did.
Yes I fully agree with these comments. Music does not belong to Tamil.Nadu alone. There are even today unrecognised musicians in the state's of AP & karnataka, who can be merited on a much higher scale
During his time the SK award was essentially decided by Semmangudi every year and not on merit. The fact that he did not belong to the Madras Mylapore clique also worked against him Absolute legend with few equals
@@swaminathans3706 It's really sad then! He was the best. If i were to choose between semmangudi and voleti, i would handsdown go with voleti for the rich music in him.. cha...
Wow 😢 beautiful
voleti garu was a musical spring 🙏

Satya Manikonda: absolutely Voleti Venkateshwarulu is a great singer.

A 1974 recording of a concert in Krishna Gana Sabha with MSG and Vellore Ramabadran.
are you sure sir?
no words beautifull thodi....👍🙏
What an amazing Thodi!!! I have never heard thodi like this!!!
Why was he not recognized is my biggest doubt.
No one has sung Thodi like Voleti. He lives for ever. My father too , was a great fan of Voleti ji.
A traditional unique rendition of todi in his own style is divine.
It gives me mental solace and peace of mind refreshing me.
🌞🙏🚩MSG violin
The glory of thodi magnified
