Great video- looking forward to visiting some of these places next spring. I like tat there are more people there compared with the place you left- still plenty of open space. How does the Casita handle the wind. One of the reasons I am getting a trailer. I’ve had times where my tent went a- rolling in the wind
Wind is a big factor in the West. I think the change of seasons is a factor. Those slides are big maintenance issue. I finally hit the road in my 17 foot Keystone Passport 171 EXP. I am boondocking at Walker Lake in Nevada. It is unseasonably cool at 4000 ft. But I am not complaining escaping the head that is coming to Phoenix.
Hi Rusty was just sending message and there you are catching up with the guys as you thought from New Zealand and here am I , Maureen from New Zealand ! Only just started following you these past two weeks and love all your videos ....looks amazing as you do your morning walks x
I really enjoy the videos you post showing the different camp set ups within your campsite.. This is a wealth of info for people who are just starting out and or have been at this for awhile who may need to see options in the field. Great helpful tool Rusty.
Thank you for that walking tour. i was pleased to see so many tent campers. I haven''t camped in decades, but if i were to today, I'd probably car camp. I'm so short I could easily sleep srewrched out across my back seat. It's nice to know there were so many methods used in one small camping site.
I would love to be walking that walk your walking :) well, minus that fly!! haha I go on the road in my 92 ford e 150 and a nice tent.. Thats my "happy place " :)
Awesome video Rusty! Thanks for the walk around the park showing us the sights and your neighbors. I have to say I think you do have the best setup. It's exactly how I would do it if the wife liked the Casitas. Good luck with the flies!
You should make up some simple "business cards" and hand them out to all the people you talk to and film. Not only will they know who they were talking to, they can easily find your TH-cam Channel as they may forget your "handle" later on if you just tell them...but if they have a card, no problemo! I have some printed up (on my printer @ home, using those Avery business card templates/sheets and their software) for my occasional "business" conversations with people I meet (but don't do videos of them). Just an idea... :-) As for the flies, get one of those "electrocution" fly-swatters lots of RVers use. Hit them with that and they fry. Lots of TH-cam videos on them -- check 'em out. -- BR
People seem so friendly out West. East coast campers are more circumspect and are more likely to just avoid contact and maybe not even reply to you. This is refreshing!
Hi Rusty I enjoyed your walk thru the park. It is certainly a beautiful view! Your videos among others are one of the reasons I am visiting the West and taking such a great interest in camping. I also find your words at the end of your videos inspiring. Keep up the positive words of encouragement.
I am so impressed with the campgrounds...the platforms for the tents are awesome and all the sties are so large....very impressive.... Seems no matter what way you turn the view is so beautiful. I am very curious if you or anyone has noticed that the winds seem to be escalating in intensity & duration over the past years...or just totally normal.... I moved back to Halifax, Nova Scotia from Toronto, Ontario and I have noticed a significant change in our winds...
I have made a comment whilst watching the video from 9 hours ago ...it’s the first tome I have commented but thought it was about time I did so ..........as I made the decision there you were thinking you were catching up with some people from NZ and here was I just literally ready to to say Hi .....weird or what ?
Nice selection of ways to camp Rusty. Your Casita looks real neat. However, my favourite so far on price (500 bucks) and insulation is the camper home of Little House On The Road. If you haven't seen it on TH-cam you might check it out sometime.
Great video Rusty. Just like you, my wife and I took our Casita out this Memorial Day Weekend. Wherever we go, the Casita is a hit. People love that fiberglass eggshell. A really nice little trailer.
Yeah...he's being 'friendly'...but wondering about 'walking along...putting a camera on everyone ( strangers?) and/or...even walking right up into the camp...while filming. not sure i'd be a very big 'fan' of that..... still, he's just meaning well. seems to do fine with it...
My dad is French from France. I think the French are just naturally aloof. They warm up if you get to know them or if you are family. But to strangers they are cold. If those people you met didn't like Americans, why would they visit here to begin with?
I’m ready for the more walking and driving videos. I know you don’t want TH-cam to be a job Rusty, so whatever you post I will be right here watching 👍🏻😃 Carpe Diem! ❤️
Enjoyed the morning walk with you Rusty. Having a TH-cam channel sure pushes one to "open up". Were you that friendly with fellow campers before you had your channel? It's reflecting in some nice channel growth for you. Over 7k subs in the passed 30 days..Wow! You have probably grown your channel by 30% since you left your HB...impressive.
Rusty, can you tell me the cost of your Casita? I dont want to ask the sales people because every time I inquire about something I get bombarded with emails galore and sometimes phone calls. Their website does not list prices. Thank you.
Enjoyed Casper and the Friendly Ghost camping site. The folks with the tent on Top of there Vehicle was neat way to camp. To each they on Rusty. Everyone has a different way to do there thing. Hang in there Good Buddy.............
Dodge Ram 6 Cylinder? Wow!>...didn't even know they started offering that motor in the Ram?? Very cool! and imagine it's got plenty of "Juice' for towing. i used to drive both the 1500 5.9...then the 2500 Hemi...early 2000's... Great Vid's Russ. keep 'em comin!
Great channel!
Wonderful video, Rusty. Well done. Steve in California.
Great walking video Rusty. Nice people you had a chance to meet. Have a great day my friend 👍
Lov the commentary. Have a great day Rusty😀

I like how you were recruiting new viewers while shooting this video.
I've never seen an invisible tent.

Great campsite.
Old Zealand. The Netherlands.
GORGEOUS PLACE!
..can i ask this: you love a casita more than a motorhome--i'd rather a motorhome!

I enjoy Rusty ' s walks and drives and his narration.
Yeah Rusty is a great tour guide.
I would love to be walking that walk your walking :) well, minus that fly!! haha I go on the road in my 92 ford e 150 and a nice tent.. Thats my "happy place " :)
I’m shocked! Not even one person offered Rusty a cup of coffee. Or a pancake.
It looks like some sight had power and water. What was the nightly rate?
What time is comment call?
new sub here rusty
I hope those flies stretched, drank plenty of water and took deep breaths before they met their fate.....
Awesome video Rusty! Thanks for the walk around the park showing us the sights and your neighbors. I have to say I think you do have the best setup. It's exactly how I would do it if the wife liked the Casitas. Good luck with the flies!
you made me a little winded on the uphill walk lol
I like the maintenance effort/costs of the invisible tent.

@@rusty78609 ?? Okay...sorry to bother you. -- BR
Really cool to see all the different kind of ways people camp and the vehicles they camp with.

Does Casper snore?
Did you get a chance to interview the casita next to you last week

With those flies buzzing you, did you try the old "zizzer" on them?

Great variety of camping styles, love the wide open view! Thanks.

Nice walk, your morning exercise. Beautiful park. TY for sharing.
Nice update for you rusty..
Nicely done! Did that boy ever comment? He's about the only one that knows what youtube is in that campsite.
I’m ready for the more walking and driving videos. I know you don’t want TH-cam to be a job Rusty, so whatever you post I will be right here watching 👍🏻😃 Carpe Diem! ❤️
You telling the French couple "Adios-That's Spanish" was great! Glad you were having such a great time this morning!
What a beautiful campsite Rusty.

The interviews are definitely picking up right now, I suspect that's maybe because people are becoming more comfortable being on camera. 🤔
Hi Rusty - This is Rob from Toowoomba, Australia. You are the best RV youtuber out there! Do you ever come across any Aussies?
Rusty, how does your camper pull behind your truck?
Oh boy, Rusty. Walkin' uphill, stretch, stretch, stretch, walk, walk, walk.
Rusty, can you tell me the cost of your Casita? I dont want to ask the sales people because every time I inquire about something I get bombarded with emails galore and sometimes phone calls. Their website does not list prices. Thank you.
Website says that they start out at $18,000.
I look everywhere and I did not see that. Thanks Fast Eddie.
Thanks Rusty! I sure will if thats the route I decide to go.
Enjoyed Casper and the Friendly Ghost camping site. The folks with the tent on Top of there Vehicle was neat way to camp. To each they on Rusty. Everyone has a different way to do there thing. Hang in there Good Buddy.............
