Midair shell jumps are known as TAS jumps in Japan, that's why you see a lot of TAS spelled out. The reason being they were at one point a TAS only trick (before everyone got so good, lol) You also see frame-perfect, or near perfect levels called TAS levels for the same reason. They look like they should require TAS to complete, like SMW wall jumps and stuff.

Don't have a Wii U though but have 3DS but too bad the MM there has no online level sharing . Just having fun discovering the arsenal of moves and platforming of 2D Mario. Didn't even get to discover or use any of these cool stuffs when I played Super Mario when I was a kid. Thumbs up!

I'm pretty sure 1 of 2 things happened. 1st, Ryu secretly LOVES Japanese levels and spliced together a bunch of his "favorite" levels (especially TAS too) or 2nd, Nintendo is onto Ryu and is making majority of super expert speed running JUST for him (how sweet :p)
