      Linux Kodachi is a Debian-based distribution which can be run from a DVD or USB thumb drive. The distribution filters all network traffic through a VPN and the Tor network, obscuring the user's network location. The distribution attempts to clean up after itself, removing traces of its use from the computer.

    The proper way to run Whonix is under another Linux distro withKVM. It is redundant to try and be anonymous with Whonix when your host system is already running Windows. At that point you might as well forget about privacy since oracle isn't exactly privacy friendly.

  • @SkyenNovaA
    @SkyenNovaA 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    If you're on a Linux host, it's best to use QEMU/KVM instead of virtualbox.
    1: Because it's fully open source
    2: It's faster because its a type 1 hypervisor.

    Using Whonix is good enough than QubesOS as QubesOS has a limited hardware support, not all computer support it while Whonix can pretty much runs on any Windows, Mac, & Linux computers as long as you have enough RAM and hard drive space.

      every time we make a move to protect ourselves, the govertment/fascists/oligarchy makes moves to counteract our moves. It is like a chess game with David-and-Goliath ratios...Goliath is kicking our asses

    too bad qubes is such a pain, namely from the "doesn't work" point
    for example when I tried, my network card on my laptop (only computer) didn't work, so while cool, I have a secure OS, I couldn't update or install anything, lol... and too high requirements prevented usage on older laptop, etc etc... have heard lots of people issues with that
    whonix, on the other hand, seems like a great low-end high-level privacy option, it's enough of everything for pretty much anyone but the most paranoid or hunted people to use and love
    also whonix seems pretty easy to use casually
