During the sweetest most wholesome connection you displayed with Key, my cold depressed heart finally melted and I broke down and cried tears of overwhelming joy. I have been suffering from a terrible accident that almost killed me and now I'm having withdrawals from the opiates they gave me for pain (100 times stronger than heroin). I know this comment was posted year's ago. However addiction has a way of stealing years, and making it seem as if no time has gone by. When in fact, it's been three years... Particularly opiates. Which are the absolute worst thing to be addicted to. I myself was a heroin addict for over 15 years. I know how hard it is. If there's anything that's actually like being a vampire. Or selling your soul to the devil. It's becoming addicted to opiates... My advice to you, if you're indeed still addicted to opiates. Is finding a methadone clinic, and becoming a"patient". It's in quote's because you really become a customer. It's expensive, but not nearly as expensive as paying for oxycontin through legal or illegal channels. Or, if you have graduated to heroin by now. It's cheeper than heroin. Methadone is strong, and it lasts all day. You can gow up in dose, till you are comfortable. Then stay there for as long as you wish. The clinic has councilors if you need one. And it's all legal. I would really like to know how you are these days.

Dogs walking in shoes for the first time has gotta be one of the funniest things, but it must be sooo strange for them (Key's looks at you were not amused, lol). He did so well, especially after such a short time, and they'll be fantastic for days when there is grit on the roads etc The part of the video where he was laying down and you were taking the shoes off whilst giving him lots of love was just heart melting, really brought back such happy memories of my Goldie..I always laid with my head on him every evening would be snuggle time 😊 He had Key's derpiness too 😄
They do walks so weirdly, kicking their legs out like horses, but he did so well. I'm so pleased he's happy to run in them, and yeah it's not good for their paws walking on salt gritting in winter. He loves being out in the snow, but after a while his paws would get sore, so these will be so good for his pads :) Aw, cuddling is the best part, they don't need to say a word and they show us so much love!
I laugh every time I see a pup trying on shoes . They walk funny cause they don't feel their feet . Once they get used to them they're fine . Key will get used to them they're good to have in the winter .
They are good once they get used to them, for when the roads etc get too hot for their paws in summer or for when those arseholes smash glass all over the place

Sweetness! Dogs experience the world through their paws and their nose and their eyes but sometimes they just have to wear shoes. Key learns so quick and in extreme weather conditions he'll probably realize why he's wearing shoes and he'll love you more for it.
I tried these dog boots on my dogs, and oh my god was it an epic failure! It’s way worse than this! Like, the boots don’t even stay on its feet cause they’re too tight and I got the largest size of them all, they were gone in no time, faster than the time she requires to destroy a dog toy. Oh, and indestructible dog toys last at max 3 hours with my malamute. As usual, perfect video and loaded with cuteness from you both! Love your vids ❤️

If he hated the boots he would have taken them off himself, or at least made some attempt, he never once tried to take them off so I know he wasn't that bothered by them. By the end of the video he was running in them. They just take a little getting used to, like most things, so they can protect his paws when they are needed.
What a great idea to get K'ey used to his shoes- take his mind off you playing with his feel- distract him using peanut butter on that handy-dandy gadget And get him to come for his treats while wearing his shoes. NOW- I wonder if my mini schnauzer will do what K'ey did.
Too many dog owners dont realize the importance of protection for their dog's feet. I see people walking dogs in the summer on hot asphalt pavement or on rough ice in winter with no concern for the pads on their feet. Thank you, And unless you edited out segments of the video - he adapted far faster than most dogs Ive seen. (I dont think it was edited!)
Yeah, some people think dogs should be left the way they would be in the wild even if that means they could hurt themselves. Just because a wolf can't wear shoes doesn't mean a dog should have to risk injuring a paw on rough ground. Key is forever stepping on thorns on pavements, and If I didn't noticed the subtle difference in his walk and check his pads, he'd be suffering with every step until it's removed.
Multiply that by 3 huskies, and a dozen times a day. when the temp went below zero, i had to get 3 huskies ready to go out potty. Just another good reason to move here in Florida.

They're good for snow and salt but also for hot streets and sidewalks. I live in a miserable desert and a lot of people have dogs but so few take two seconds to think about their poor pups' paws/paw pads and it's infuriating. It should be considered abuse because it absolutely is. Would anyone with two brain cells to rub together let a kid of any age run around barefoot anywhere (other than maybe thick grass - that doesn't bloody belong) when it gets to 90 degrees F outside?! Especially in the freaking middle of the day?!!! And, if they did but were more or less caught being utterly negligent, they would get into at least some kind of trouble. It's more than negligence with dogs as they can't vocalize as well and can't run away/try to find a cooler place to stand because they're on a damn leash. Anyway, keep that in mind when you're out with him in the summer. I don't know how hot it gets where you are but asphalt, cobblestone, sand and even cement trap heat all day and take quite a while to cool down (depending on how cool it gets at night) - thus can be much hotter than the ambient air temp (or colder, once the seasons change). - Just sayin. It's great that they have reflectors too. 🙂

@@rajeshraghavan2248 I would never force him to do something that made him unhappy. If he hated the boots he would have taken them off himself, or at least made some attempt, he never once tried to take them off so I know he wasn't that bothered by them. By the end of the video he was running in them. They just take a little getting used to, like most things, so they can protect his paws when they are needed.

What a great idea to get K'ey used to his shoes- take his mind off you playing with his feel- distract him using peanut butter on that handy-dandy gadget And get him to come for his treats while wearing his shoes. NOW- I wonder if my mini schnauzer will do what K'ey did.
I knew the licki matt would be a great mediator to get Key used to the boots. It definitely helps. Food is a very good distraction :)

Too many dog owners dont realize the importance of protection for their dog's feet. I see people walking dogs in the summer on hot asphalt pavement or on rough ice in winter with no concern for the pads on their feet. Thank you, And unless you edited out segments of the video - he adapted far faster than most dogs Ive seen. (I dont think it was edited!)
Yeah, some people think dogs should be left the way they would be in the wild even if that means they could hurt themselves. Just because a wolf can't wear shoes doesn't mean a dog should have to risk injuring a paw on rough ground. Key is forever stepping on thorns on pavements, and If I didn't noticed the subtle difference in his walk and check his pads, he'd be suffering with every step until it's removed.
Oh and no I didn't remove much of the video at all, he really did adapt that quickly to wearing them and two days later, running in them :)

I think he secretly loves his shoes!! Now the cold weather is here I have thought about shoes for my dog lol. My sister puts them on her dog for walks because of the anti freeze in the road grit.
Yeah, that's why I got them for Key, not for every day walks, but for when the snow and ice is bad and there's salt on the ground.

They're good for snow and salt but also for hot streets and sidewalks. I live in a miserable desert and a lot of people have dogs but so few take two seconds to think about their poor pups' paws/paw pads and it's infuriating. It should be considered abuse because it absolutely is. Would anyone with two brain cells to rub together let a kid of any age run around barefoot anywhere (other than maybe thick grass - that doesn't bloody belong) when it gets to 90 degrees F outside?! Especially in the freaking middle of the day?!!!
And, if they did but were more or less caught being utterly negligent, they would get into at least some kind of trouble. It's more than negligence with dogs as they can't vocalize as well and can't run away/try to find a cooler place to stand because they're on a damn leash.
Anyway, keep that in mind when you're out with him in the summer. I don't know how hot it gets where you are but asphalt, cobblestone, sand and even cement trap heat all day and take quite a while to cool down (depending on how cool it gets at night) - thus can be much hotter than the ambient air temp (or colder, once the seasons change). - Just sayin.
