    This grid has to be prepared by the PM in consultation with team members and experts. The matrix necessarily needs not to be made available in public but team should be aware of this as the grid is usually updated throughout the life of the project. The Power/Interest grid helps the project team to maintain track of requirement priority as well as smooth communication.

    This should be accessible to all. In case if sponsor wants to check what's happening & who all are working on this project then instead of calling project manager & asking for report he will open this file & can check..

    This should be private to the PM only. Other plans or documents in the PMP discusses the engagement needed or the communication needed for the stakeholders. This tool will help the PM strategize what moves to make for each group. Other stakeholders may be offended when they are classified as something they do not expect. This, however, can be shared with the next PM, who will take over the project or the next phase, provided they have the same principle and maturity as you.

    Wow, what a useful video. Today I am satisfied that my time was wisely spent by learning from this wonderful person who has prepared the video and speaking through audio without showing his face. This is quite a good thing, because we often get distracted by the speaker's appearance. But, this video had helped me to fully observe (100%) of the content. Interactive question at the end is a marvelous idea. Appreciate all the respondents to the question, and finally the author answering them as well. This is the really really the way to get educated. Hats off.

    To be Frank, it's available with Project Manager who manages stake holders/communicate with stakeholders. And expectations from different stakeholders needs to be available with Team member (register) so every One remain aligned on expected out come of project. That's my understanding so far. In practical, I have never seen such register with team, neither grid from PMO.

    Terrific Video!! thank you for all the detail. You explained it beautifully and no I understand it!! I think the power grid should be kept private in order to allow for the ease of the PM to work. If this grading was known that would result in people focusing on why they are placed in certain grids instead of working. I think it would make it harder for the PM to obtain information because people will be monitoring their participation, which could affect the project.

    It is well presented and helpful. this stakeholder power and interest grid should be internal with project team otherwise it can affect negatively some partners as per their classification.
    thank you indeed.

    the power interest grid should be kept to itself as this can help the project manager to manage and take required decisions about who to satisfy the most and whom to not make much effort and work. if required he should also take into consideration his team members to come to an appropriate conclusion.

    It should be available with PM only as it may affect his relationship with other stakeholders if it will be publicly.

      How would someone react looking at the Power Interest Grid if have placed them in low power low interest position?

  • @nelcalb
    @nelcalb 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I would keep this grid to myself and maybe only a few people in the project management team, not make it public
