We went to Castleton once in pouring rain, we sat in the car for 45 minutes, turned around and went back to the hotel we were stopping out. It did look a nice walk nice and one I would like to do myself but only in your weather and only if I got there early doors, too many people about there for me. Take care buddy, cheers Alan

visited Mam Tor for the first time this July. In fact first time in the Peak District. it was a week day and parked in a designated National Trust parking area with no problem. arrived at about 10.00 am and by the time i was admiring the stunning views looking down on Castleton people started showing up,
The scenery here is wonderful throughout. You mentioned wind noise, but I note that your camera has handled the wind extraordinarily good. I could hear your narration nice and clear throughout and I always like some wind noise (if it's windy on location) as it helps give a good idea of how the day was and how the terrain really is. Have you got some kind of wind noise reducing measures on the camera microphone (wind muff)? Whatever you are using, it works great.
