  • This is 5 months after my hair transplant in Turkey.
    If you have not seen the first 7 days please view this first as this gives a full breakdown of the cost as well as the recovery after the operation.
    I had a 3800 Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) hair transplant on the front, top and crown of my head.
    I went to Get Hair in Istanbul in Turkey for my hair transplant. Find out more from their Website. www.gethair.co.uk/r.html?p=an...

    Well done mate, good steady progress.
    I loved the bit where you flicked up the front. When was the last time any of us were able to do that??!!
    You come across as a proper sound bloke and it's great that you're sharing your progress with us in such great detail.
    Looking forward to next month. ☺

      After several years of pushing it away from me, and having long hair from the sides bound together on top of my head (which looked pretty good for some time, but my hairline on the top receded further, so started looking sketchy)
      I finally took the plunge and shaved it down to 3mm on sunday. I also fully shaved my beard first time after years. I am so relieved, and looks actually really good. It gives the expression of my personality another clear, straightforward, but still humble and friendly touch. So happy!

I also want to say you could have still look as good with a bald head but i understand why you chose HT. Imho though, it doesnt look like a good result yet as your forehead is still really wide but i hopes it gets better in the next videos. Pls keep recording and sharing your progress.

    Many of the people commenting are not aware that the hair transplantation takes time to grow, and that alot of time the donor area is not so rich, so its a matter of balancing between the donor and transplanted area.

    You seem like a nice guy well spoken well meaning and total respect for you not only for addressing your balding in a very bold way and brave way also. Here's the but. Your hairline is way too high to be hugely visable from the front. Density wise it looks decent and that will keep improving for the next 5 or 6 months. Personally I'd like to see your hairline brought down by an inch. That would require a 2nd but smaller procedure. Really nice videos btw and what I say I say with love but the high hairline incersion point is stifling how the impact and relevance of your HT as right now you litterally have to look down for people to see your Hair.

    ..my opinion,being bald is not an issue as long us the person has a nice skull shape,Angus has a great skull structure and he looks great without hair.He looks good up to this point,and he is happy.I have been using minoxidil for about 25 years(in my thirties)
    and I have a full head of hair. Angus my suggestion ,after healing start minoxidil on the crown of the head,if you can and concentrate on your beard to balance your face ,you have a great nose and chin.Good luck!!!

    I disagree with the haters. You said you’re in your 40s, you have a mature masculine face. So you really don’t need to have lots of thick hair in the front. That would look ridiculous. For your age and your face, just having a bit more on top makes you look more handsome. A success in my opinion.

    • @AngusHairTransplant
      @AngusHairTransplant  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, You can cut it with scissors on the top quite soon after but there is not much to cut until a couple of months. They recommend not cutting it with clippers until about 3 months after. but check with whoever you are having yours done with as they will be able to let you know. All the best with yours.

    I have read that some doctors require hair transplant recipients to use Propecia to prevent the non transplanted hair from falling out. True?

    • @srs5933
      @srs5933 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, some will not operate on you unless you are taking it. The only way to find out who they are is by consulting with them. Others might recommend you take it but is not a 'must do' so to speak. This will depend on several factors such as your age, how much native hair you still have remaining and the surgeons prognosis of your future loss. Hope this helps.

    Good....does the donor area feel any different? Any numbness....tenderness? What about the area where the graphs were transplanted?

    • @AngusHairTransplant
      @AngusHairTransplant  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, It is all fine now, I have no numbness. The donor are was a little sensitive for the 1st 3 months. The front part where most of the grafts were placed was a little itchy and spotty up to 4 months, probably due to the new hairs coming through. but everything feels fine now.

    • @AngusHairTransplant
      @AngusHairTransplant  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was just one visit. however you do have to go back to the hospital the day after the procedure to get the dressing changed and the head washed and they tell you how to look after the transplanted area and put the ;lotion on etc. yes I went to the toilet half way through the 4 hours procedure. No you can't read as you have to regularly change position. There was only slight discomfort in the donor area when lying on a pillow at night.

      The hair may still thin as you get older but not as much as they have taken the hair from the strong areas that are less likely to thin. As I had my whole head done, i will not have to go back again. There shouldn't be any problems as it is a minor operation.

    Your Crown will be always baldy, because 3800 grafts for all zones of your are not enough. Better step is, transplant the zone 1 (hairline) and the zone 2. let the crown open and do it later. I dont know where you where in turkey, but the grafts doesnt grow on good. I think your donor area was a bit miniaturized, that means that the grafts loose their power like on normal androgentic alopezie. Finger crossed that you endresault will get better

      Not a waste of money but do agree hairline wayy too high so when he looks up he looks bald anyway. The work he has had done is fine but just not enough of it.

      1292liam that's what they say about them all lol. I'm joking but I think the point the guy is trying to make is that with the high hairline it looks more like a comb over than a head of hair which isn't the case but that hairline creates that illusion. Which is a bit of a creepy look. He needs a 2nd procedure

      High angus im 58 had my strip procedure done march 2018 my hairline is also high like yours the surgeon says the amount of hair to achieve density would make a high hairline i think yours is making good progress about the same as mine i am surprised about the negative comments i think yours is a major difference which doesn't always come across on the camera but to people you haven't meet for ages the look on their faces 😂 you no their dying to ask good on you mate for sharing your experience it mirrors mine so i no its true what your saying.

    You're Hair Transplant is a Failed, no disrespect. Plus your head is super huge, also your forehead . Should just grow a full beard and be bald, and get tattoos, and you will be looking great. Again no Disrespect.
