Good thing they are in Europe, in the USA the police would use automatic assault weapons, kill dozens, then start to ask questions if they were real or just flares & petards.
Not really, a lot of Americans would be pulling out their real guns and shooting randomly into the crowd from which the noise came, then check later if they were real shots or just noise.

The whole point about being loud here is to support your home and intimidate the opposing team (and also, pressure the refs a bit to call in your favor). In Europe, sports is usually much more competitive than in the USA, and teams are more important than the league itself. So you find teams like Olympiacos, BJK, etc with multiple sports divisions and usually people grow up and die as fans of the same club. Gate 7, 13, etc. btw are the gates/entrances to the stadium where you'd (at least historically) find the hardcore fans, so Olympiacos ultras are known as Gate 7 due to... well. Self-explanatory. Fan culture does go overboard though sometimes to the point that I know for heated matches (like any big Athens clubs' games), away fans are not allowed to attend due to past violence between fan groups. Side note, in the previous video, PAOK's chant actually was (roughly) saying that "we'll bring our boys to Athens in spades, and strike fear in them; we'll beat them up in Syntagma (Athens) and Pasalimani (Piraeus)" (Athens&Piraeus having the big 3, AEK + Panathinaikos + Olympiacos, that PAOK hates). :) Still, way better experiences than I've ever had in the States. Home territory *should* be a place where the opponents feel dread, and where the home team feels empowered and loved. Ultras just are a rather extreme expression of that.
Hi Ryan, I’ve just subscribed to your channel lately and i do like your content but i do have point out one thing. You talk about europeans as if they are somehow similar in terms of their culture, language and way of life. That could not be further from the truth. Putting the British, French and Spaniards in the same group for instance is like putting Black Lives Matter in bed with the kkk. Thousands of years of wars between European countries has made us realise we have to live together as best we can but we are not the same as each other by a long way. Peace my friend and keep up the good work. Regards Patrick from England
Okay, big difference. The testosterone levels rage on mass. In Australia and the USA, you bring the whole family. That makes a big difference. If you bring the whole family, men don't behave like this. Even in Aussie Rules football, where the game is really quite dangerous, the crowd is really loud and excited. Yet it sounds really different. Whole families are there. I think that's the major difference. Football was like this 50 years ago in Australia. The men would go out, get drunk, let their testosterone go crazy, go home, and more like go home and bash and rape the wive and start smashing up the house. Some still do. They are still looking at this to make the sport more family friendly, you it's for to go crazy like then, and then after, what happens then???....
The families go to this games but the Ultra's are placed on the left and the right side of the stadium...behind the goals. The rest is for the families. I think they also put some net in there to prevent things being thrown but I am not sure about that 100% but I think you can see it in the videos..
Muhehe. European football stadiums are kind of fortresses. They are split into sectors without any possibility to pass between them. They are fireproof and they can withstand the strongest earthquake although in most of Europe wasn't been any earthquake for thousands of years, because when tens of thousands of idiots start jumping synchronously ait just worse than any known earthquake. But you didn't see anything because the worst ultras are not allowed to entry stadiums. Each great football match means lot of street vandalism, fights with police and between enemy ultras etc.
Most of these are just loud, some fireworks, a firecracker now and then. This is just the top of the iceberg. They can become very rioty. In the yugoslavian civil war they recruited from ultras, and after the war, they where ehm.. pretty radicalized against teams of the opposing side. We sometimes needed hundreds of police with horses and big cars with water cannons to guide opposing teams away from each other after a match. Now teams are fined or even disqualified if their supporters misbehave, and the misbehaving supporters get thrown in jail for a few days and they have to pay fines, and are excluded from the stadium for life. That cooled a lot of supporters teams down. At least in our country.
Well, there are so many more ultra-choirs missing in that video. And nearly all ckaim to be the loudest. You cant do a serious top10 on that! Seems more like a fan-made stuff to kind of "back-door-high-rate" his own club ;)))
I say : take the 10 worst Ultra groups give them some blow give them some whatever they need send them to yankland and let them lose and then nothing see what happens.... put it on the internet so we can bet ... like Hungergames right ? Oh mennnnnn all the sponsors in the world jump on this like a bear on honey !!!!
That’s why, when building a new stadium, there are studies to make it so the stadium doesn’t enter in resonance as people jump in rythme.

Still, way better experiences than I've ever had in the States. Home territory *should* be a place where the opponents feel dread, and where the home team feels empowered and loved. Ultras just are a rather extreme expression of that.
Ryan, enjoy cocacola, and let us enjoye the "real" football..!
In this Moment they would die for there club 😂
Hi Ryan, I’ve just subscribed to your channel lately and i do like your content but i do have point out one thing. You talk about europeans as if they are somehow similar in terms of their culture, language and way of life. That could not be further from the truth. Putting the British, French and Spaniards in the same group for instance is like putting Black Lives Matter in bed with the kkk. Thousands of years of wars between European countries has made us realise we have to live together as best we can but we are not the same as each other by a long way. Peace my friend and keep up the good work. Regards Patrick from England
This is passion, religion, war... We support our team until the end!
Next May,I enter my 8th decade in London. NO SURRENDER..
Pretty sure your comments were on point.
Είσαι στο μυαλό κάτι μαγικό όπου πας εσύ θα είμαι πάντα εδώ να σου τραγουδώ
ΘΡΥΛΕ ΟΛΕ ΟΛΕ
Gate 7
Pronounciation of delije(red star belgrade fans) is more like de(like devil)-lee- ye
Your facial expression..😹😹
If you wanna see aive performance like this, you don't have to come to Europe. Just go to Mexico. At a local derby. You won't regret it
We are Born in war and we can make a war in a game!!!!
they didn't feature widad "fi bladi delmouni" or algeria vs palestine "palestine chouhada"
Tbf UK are always loud when it comes to fans lol
Well, there are so many more ultra-choirs missing in that video. And nearly all ckaim to be the loudest. You cant do a serious top10 on that! Seems more like a fan-made stuff to kind of "back-door-high-rate" his own club ;)))
I say : take the 10 worst Ultra groups give them some blow give them some whatever they need send them to yankland and let them lose and then nothing see what happens.... put it on the internet so we can bet ... like Hungergames right ? Oh mennnnnn all the sponsors in the world jump on this like a bear on honey !!!!
You look so dissapointed😂😅
Olympiakos...... Best fans in the world
You will be afraid also about Your voice cords. Trust me.
obviously the basketball game is not as loud cause you cant fit that many people in a smaller arena
These videos don’t show how it is in person at all!!! If you want to understand the ultras culture you should come to Europe🥊❤️
