How is a podcast a mainstream compared to BBC. Unlike BBC the real mainstream media, we can all see how biased BBC is. Instead of blaming Steven or other podcasts, BBC better reflect on how you fail to gain people’s trust on your information.
Also, “researchers” and “doctors” are often very defensive and closed mind sticking to their own thoughts. It is not easy for any non-mainstream knowledge to get research funding or published. I am not saying we should trust 100% what the guests said but also i will not trust 100% what the mainstream institutions said. Institutions should think deeply why people are not trusting them.
Have you seen the video? How can it be an attack if they literally started the piece saying that the general quality of guests is good, and the concerns are on some guests, appearing more recently. Shame on you BBC! Omitting context and failing to do your OWN research. These are best in class, highly respected doctors and health experts that I have followed for YEARS long before they were on Steven’s podcast… who are ON POINT with the knowledge and free education that they give to the masses when it comes to functional medicine and natural health methods! Every human being should be allowed to be educated and informed about ALL insights via reputable sources, and be aware of ALL options available to them in order to empower themselves with a sense of control over their own health - traditional medical AND alternative! This is SO infuriating. Shame on you.
Exactly. Actual science isn't afraid of discussion, nuance and ambiguity. Only "I am the science!" is afraid of discussion, because their narrative exists to push whatever they need to sell.
Is he spreading misinformation? Or is he sharing a narrative that is outside the big corporate script, letting people hear an alternative narrative that resonates. There is too much of a conflict of interest between “approved“ research and pharmaceutical companies that spend a gazillion dollars on lobbyist and special interest groups, as well as media to promote their products. Follow the money and you see the conflict of interest. We are all responsible for our own decisions and those decisions should be FULLY informed.
@ So you’re saying everything told and sold by big medical and pharmaceutical corporations is 100% accurate, and in our best interests? No. We know this is false. We all have a right to differing opinions and additional information and the responsibility to validate to make our own informed decisions. Silencing opposing opinions is just old fashioned censorship.
The BBC is racist anyway and they look even more racist comming after an independent black British man while promoting GRIME an TRAP on BBC Xtra radio. disgusting!
indeed, it gave rise to an erudite evaluation from Bret Weinstein on The Darkhorse podcast episode 253. Legacy media needs to shut the door on their way out.
These critics assume "everyone else" is stupid and blindly follows nonsense. They also call for government regulation of podcasts similar to those imposed on BBC.
Well, thank you for confirming why I made the right choice in cancelling my TV Licence (and disabling my TV from receiving live broadcast television and BBC iPlayer). For you to talk about misinformation whilst misinforming about the credibility or expertise of the guests really ‘takes the biscuit’ (eg Dr Assem Malhotra is a leading consultant cardiologist, who was deemed sufficiently credible by the BBC to have him on their programs to advise people to have the vaccine when it was first available. This was before Dr Malhotra’s previously healthy father died from an inexplicable heart attack post vaccination and he started researching more about it)
As a podcaster myself, I have immense respect for the journey Steven Bartlett has taken with The Diary of a CEO. It’s no small feat to create a platform that balances vulnerability, inspiration, and hard-hitting insights week after week. While every success story has its complexities, Steven’s work has undoubtedly elevated the podcasting space, inspiring creators like me to embrace deeper, more authentic conversations. In an era of mass information, discernment is more important than ever. Both on my podcast and Steven's, guests often bring diverse-and at times conflicting-perspectives. This isn’t a flaw but a strength of the medium: sparking curiosity, challenging assumptions, and encouraging listeners to explore deeper truths for themselves. Podcasting is about fostering thought, not delivering all the answers, and that’s what makes it such a transformative space.
"Naturopathic medicine is not a legitimate thing." - Many patients find value in naturopathic approaches, which emphasize natural remedies, prevention, and holistic care. Licensed naturopathic doctors (NDs) undergo rigorous training, including clinical hours, in accredited programs.
I love how Steven interviews people with different perspectives so the public can make their own minds up. I don't love how the BBC took one strand of evidence during the covid pandemicand passed this off as a fact to collude with politics. As Dr John Campbell says, follow the evidence.
Thank you for letting me know about him. I didn't know about him before the BBC started to persecute him. Now I'm following him. If the BBC is worried then that is a good clue to who to follow 😂
How can alternative therapies be evidence-based if the evidence is ignored or suppressed. Steven Bartlett’s podcasts are highly informative to those who seek the truth.
This is absolutely crazy. How can they attack his podcast. It's up to you what to do with the information you receive. So what if there are more health related episodes. I think it's a brillaint podcast and I've learnt so much from it.
I blame science teaching at schools. Children should be taught about the concept of empirical evidence, to help them navigate the quagmire of pseudoscience, misinformation, and false advertising that everyone is being bombarded with on social media.
And that's MUCH easier than just listening to his AMAZING podcast and making your own mind up, isn't it? If pseudoscience, misinformation and false advertising are your enemies, THIS DUDE is among the last people you should EVER take issue with. It makes no sense.
Community masking was harmful health misinformation. Closing schools was harmful health misinformation. Making 2 year olds is harmful health misinformation. Medicalization of gender dysphoria for kids is harmful health misinformation. But these conversations can and should be had in public forums, not censored by group think influenced government on either side.
People should take their health into their own hands. Listen to various opinions, do your research and make up your own mind. Unfortunately the BBC cannot rise to that level.
I really appreciate and admire Stephen Bartlett but some of his content has been annoying me for a while. He has too many charlatans on his program ... and not confined to health. His recent interview with the ex-CIA or ex-FBI shill was a watershed for me.
I don't have the feeling that Steven agrees with all of his guests. You can tell that the guests are talking rubbish when he, as moderator, breaks off the topic. Nevertheless, some kind of explanatory text at the beginning would be good, pointing out that there is no fact-checking of the guests and nothing is cut out. You only find out these things if you listen to a lot of the episodes carefully. But it should be immediately clear to everyone.
As someone with cancer, Thomas Seyfried recent interview on his chanel was infuriating. Although he briefly stated there is no absolute in his theory, he goes on to claim his theory is true. Statins and blood pressure meds do more harm than good. Just keep your carbs low, eat whole foods, avoid sead oils and ultra processed foods, do some form of intermittent fasting and do cardio and resistance training. What most of Steven's insightful guests are saying.
@3:55 "We define harmful claims as advice, that if followed could lead to patient harm". This definition includes practically all pharmacological interventions, as they are not free of possible harmful side effects.
These BBC experts, why don't they go on Steven's podcast and make their points. Why is it wrong for the public to know about these alternative views. The public is not stupid to make sensible judgment.
As a psychology student, I have certainly found some speakers on Steven's podcast lie, exaggerate or misinterpret some of the studies on neuroscience or psychology. I am not an expert on health, but since coming across that, I take everything on there with a pinch of salt. The team should definitely take a more responsible approach and do at least some research on things they invite people to talk about.
@JelenaKrilova - as a psychology student I urge you to investigate the dubious heritage of your chosen paradigm and the questionable theories that emanate from it. Look a little bit deeper at the origin and motive of 'the studies' on neuroscience and psychology and you will find that most of them are pharma-marketing masquerading as research. Psychology and Psychiatry in all of their arrogant ignorance are merely pimps for big pharma and all those with a vested interest in profiting from mental distress and trading on trauma. What you are being taught in University or elsewhere is paid for by pharma.
They could also invite additional guests who are qualified to challenge the kooky guests. I seem to remember Joe Rogan mediating a convo about drugs between people with opposing views.

I do not like to leave a comment on here a lot of times; but as someone who likes to listen to "Diary of a CEO" podcast, I am offended at this news. I have personally learned a lot from listening to his podcast. I have been listening to his podcast when I was at my lowest and got great haling from it because I figured there are lots of people out there who would place people over money. Therefore, I personally feel attacked and offended by this news. My personal opinion for this attack is that people who are enslaved to money and therefore place money over people see his podcast and the guests that make their appearance on his podcast as a threat. Honestly, I see this news as more of a threat than his podcast. Consumers of his podcast are perfectly capable of making their own decisions in deciding what to and what not to listen, thankyou very much. His podcast and the people that he has on as guests are the types of people who will make this world a better place to live and produce a better generation for the future than people who attack others (regardless of age) for their own personal benefit. Stop gaslighting!
"Consumers of his podcast are perfectly capable of making their own decisions" I also watch and like the podcast, but two things can be true at the same time. I don't agree with some of the views presented in the Diary of a CEO podcast. That does not give me the right to decide those views are fringe. Who has the authority to decide what is fringe? BBC is not that authority. Contrarian views must be tested rigorously before rejection. History proves us again and again that every invention and innovation starts with a contrarian view. Of course, we need evidence-based health information. But, the absence of evidence can't be used as evidence of absence.
These podcasts probably shift to alt medicine because of the sheer number of grifters available to interview, and the sheer number of snakeoil products that are being hawked. You're never lacking for content or income. All you've got to do is invite them and let them speak, and feedback with the occasional "Now that you mention it, I feel like that too". I feel this is an attack from an established media company on the new ways of sharing ideas and communities becoming connected.
I agree. The more information we can gather from all the reliable sources, the better choices we can make for our health and wellbeing.
How is a podcast a mainstream compared to
BBC.
They are alerting the public that those guests are spreading health and healthcare misinformation without being challenged in any way by Steven. This is information, and what those guests were doing, and indirectly the podcast that hosted them, is misinformation.
@@ayeaye1363 how can you make those choices if you don't have any core knowledge driving the decisions? what you get is a neatly packed illusion of education; not all information is educational, so the potential of similar podcasts for the purposes you mentioned is still questionable no matter one's attitude to BBC.
Steven, your podcast is the highlight of my day! This is the most high quality podcast there is.
BBC unfortunately don't have any more credibility than Stevens guests, i would say BBC has less credibility. We can rise the some concerns about their experts.
Thank you Steven for giving voice to diversity and freedom of choice.
BBC is quoting the medical establishment and evidence based medicine. Anyone who encourages people not to take treatment for serious conditions is risking people's lives. I survived cancer by taking all treatment. Statistically, that was the best way to save my life, I was lucky the treatment worked.

That graph of rising subscriptions to "Diary of a CEO", made BBC green with envy…
Go for it, Steve...
The BBC is such an embarrassment these days.
Who is allowed to have a voice? & whose experience is defined as standard? Take a look in the mirror BBC,❤ Thanks for challenging us to question our norms and empowering choice Steven B🥰
If BBC says he's spreading "misinformation" - make no mistake: he's teaching fact and truth that Governments and big companies want suppressed.
Thanks for promoting Diary of a CEO. Now your audience will go watch it to learn more deeply about what their guests are sharing than we got paid to do. Your communication tricks are not working anymore.
Shame on you.
what is the evidence against the covid vaccine? how statistically significant are the numbers of any unintended effects?
lol what a joke you are
Exactly. Actual science isn't afraid of discussion, nuance and ambiguity. Only "I am the science!" is afraid of discussion, because their narrative exists to push whatever they need to sell.
@@hhumh6911 I've got a better question; since when is it better to censor and smear experts than listen to all perspectives?
Is he spreading misinformation? Or is he sharing a narrative that is outside the big corporate script, letting people hear an alternative narrative that resonates. There is too much of a conflict of interest between “approved“ research and pharmaceutical companies that spend a gazillion dollars on lobbyist and special interest groups, as well as media to promote their products. Follow the money and you see the conflict of interest. We are all responsible for our own decisions and those decisions should be FULLY informed.
Just to summarize. Yes, he is spreading missinformation.

It sounds like satire at one point. Like is the BBC still on lock down? 😂
The BBC is racist anyway and they look even more racist comming after an independent black British man while promoting GRIME an TRAP on BBC Xtra radio. disgusting!
BBC most definitely deserves it. There’s obviously some desperate people out there, making ridiculous attempts to maintain the narratives.
indeed, it gave rise to an erudite evaluation from Bret Weinstein on The Darkhorse podcast episode 253. Legacy media needs to shut the door on their way out.
💯 I have completely just lost faith in the BBC. I am disgusted.
For you to talk about misinformation whilst misinforming about the credibility or expertise of the guests really ‘takes the biscuit’
(eg Dr Assem Malhotra is a leading consultant cardiologist, who was deemed sufficiently credible by the BBC to have him on their programs to advise people to have the vaccine when it was first available. This was before Dr Malhotra’s previously healthy father died from an inexplicable heart attack post vaccination and he started researching more about it)
This yes!
I'm sure the voices were loud and united at your board meetings, but the hit piece doesn't appear to be working bbc.
I wonder why.
Big chemical companies behind this campaign? Asking for a friend since it seems to be a trend.
Big Pharma, Big Medical, Big Food and Big Media. Rupert must be pissed his media empire us under attack..
BBC the disinformation misinformation no 1 broadcaster 😂🤣
"Naturopathic medicine is not a legitimate thing." - Many patients find value in naturopathic approaches, which emphasize natural remedies, prevention, and holistic care. Licensed naturopathic doctors (NDs) undergo rigorous training, including clinical hours, in accredited programs.
rigorous??? no they are not. everything you have just said is nonsense. calling them 'Dr's" is moronic and misleading.
Doctors don’t know everything! BBC certainly doesn’t either!! I applaud alternative views.
It’s hilarious how you try to make his content sound like misinformation we like that he has a different approach keep it up Steven thank you
I love how Steven interviews people with different perspectives so the public can make their own minds up.
I don't love how the BBC took one strand of evidence during the covid pandemicand passed this off as a fact to collude with politics.
As Dr John Campbell says, follow the evidence.
Campbell is another conman
Campbell has made lots of $$$$$$$$$ conspiracy grifting!
That's a low point for the BBC, disappointing...
They keep pushing the boundaries of low!
BBC! DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE DISCREDITING STEVEN'S HIGH QUALITY INTERVIEWS AND GUESTS.
That's not their job, it's to spout the Technocrats propaganda..
Thank you for letting me know about him. I didn't know about him before the BBC started to persecute him. Now I'm following him. If the BBC is worried then that is a good clue to who to follow 😂
How can alternative therapies be evidence-based if the evidence is ignored or suppressed.
Steven Bartlett’s podcasts are highly informative to those who seek the truth.
evidence isnt being suppressed. Grow up.
Ohh Jacqui. I feel embarrassed for you. What dwindling demographics is this idiocy effective. The BBC brand used to have credibility …. Not any more.
This is absolutely crazy. How can they attack his podcast. It's up to you what to do with the information you receive. So what if there are more health related episodes. I think it's a brillaint podcast and I've learnt so much from it.
this confirms he is telling the truth and big pharma made a few calls to the BBC
The problem isn‘t that it’s health focused. It’s that many claims are problematic.
I blame science teaching at schools. Children should be taught about the concept of empirical evidence, to help them navigate the quagmire of pseudoscience, misinformation, and false advertising that everyone is being bombarded with on social media.
Right but then we’re forced to listen to our corrupt government and all that goes out the window. Makes perfect sense.
The religious/spiritual celebrities moms complex took it out of schools.
Where any of the opinions given in this episode Fact Checked ? The hypocrisy 😂
The police of TRUTH hard at work, yeah sure!!!!!!!!
They care about our well being sooo much too 🤣
People should take their health into their own hands.
Andrew Bustamente was garbage.
It's not. Cancer is complex, and despite how well you optimize your health, you can still get cancer. Stop victim blaming. Oh? BTW, modern cancer treatment is keeping us alive longer and thriving better~stage IV Cancer Thriver under 40 y/o
I recently unsubbed after that interview and Hyman has been cringe. Hyman actually removed a lot of my evidence-based comments on his platform. Very telling.
So is it “victim blaming” to say your lifestyle choices likely lead to your cancer??? (alcohol, sugary foods, tobacco etc). There are behaviors & consequences to those behaviors. Sorry if it hurts your feelings.
You’re in denial. Dr Thomas Seyfried is helping cancer patients for more than 20 years WITHOUT secondary effects, something no chemical treatment can offer.

And what about the BBC? Do you take everything you hear on that as gospel?
@@petraliverani1247 That is what's known as a false equivalence.
The BBC is an established institution that is regulated and required to have standards, standards which have long beenpart of the culture of the institution. Are they infallible? No, and whn they get things wrong or there's a perception of lack of balance or problematic framing they're criticised and they take they criticisim seriously and have protocols for self evaluation. They're one of the most well respected organisations worldwide for journalism and reporting.
You’re a student, many of Steven’s guests are experts. Everything should be taken with a pinch of salt, including university books that have not changed one paragraph for 20 and 30 years. Research evolves everyday.
Haven't a lot of medical advances been fringe ideas to begin with?
I'll trust Steven's guest over some BBC hired hacks any day of the week.
Used to work at the agency this guy owned. His whole brand is entirely shrouded in false claims which nobody, including the BBC, has bothered to dig into with any real rigor. He’s viewed as a business mastermind however his business earned a fraction of what was quoted. He was also one of four co-founders, all of whom have gone on to do absolutely nothing, nor are they particularly well off. That would make me ask major questions if I were a journalist or showrunner.
Interesting. I have always got a phoney vibe from him...
I think the fact his podcast has reached 1 billion views might tell you that people actually want to hear what his guests have to say no?

Steven's new company thirdweb is worth $160m according to techcrunch, his investment company is reported to be worth £70m according to the independent and he has another company called Flight which is pretty big.
He's been very naughty about those figures he sold his agency for.
This is what happens when the medical community makes treatment and information out of reach for common people. Maybe make healthcare and college more affordable and people will believe you.

"Consumers of his podcast are perfectly capable of making their own decisions"
I also watch and like the podcast, but two things can be true at the same time. It's good that BBC is confronting the host and the guests with questions about misinformation (which hopefully will lead to improving the quality of future guests) and it's good that the public is aware of it.

The best podcast on TH-cam. I'm not watching corporate news, such as BBC, NBC, or ABC just independent podcasters.
BBC has been captured unfortunately. A sad loss.
Whereas interviewing physicists or geologists or anyone with an important but complicated subject to talk about, that'll require preparation, reading, researching to do a good interview.

He lost me when he had a couple of guests who claimed that autism is caused by diet. 🥴
It can be, but there can be many other factors like chemicals. Anything that can create havoc on the central nervous system, can create dis-ease/dis-order in the body/system. Miriam Gimal was able to cure her daughter. She was on dr. E the NP with a PHD. There are 2 episodes so far with her on that channel, the 2nd felt more like an ad.
