I was looking for a regular bike as a backup to my Ebike that I paid $1000. I looked at this one but I couldn't justify spending $799. I ended up getting a new Giordano H1 for about $250 on sale. As it turned out, I actually enjoy riding it and now I'm riding it more than the ebike.
Now I've got my eyes on this one again.

Upgrade the wheels, tires and the seat and you'll ditch the ebike. A good wheel with smooth bearings makes all the difference, a seat with better support because the stock one is just okay, and new tires because the ones that come stock are kind of boxy.

Nice to hear your thoughts about the bike, on a side note, the duotrap sensor works with the Apple watch.

It does. Thinking about getting one since the Apple Watch GPS calculates only average speed. Thanks for commenting.

So probably Dual Sport 2 gen 5 would be a better option, as you mention even mountain bike as an option for city? I have FX2 and Duo sport 2 g5 available at almost similar price.

Maybe. Definitely worth looking into. For me though probably a Roscoe or Marlin.

Dumb question. Just got the FX+ 2. How the heck do you turn the front and rear lights on? I see the wires going to battery.

Buy bontr wide pedals and a light casual helmet and be set l, no need to spend on the most expensive, makes no sense, you use it for commutes..

As a former Madone rider, you are comparing apples to oranges. There are massive differences between an FX2 (which I now own) and any of the others you mention. One is a commuter fitness bike and the other a competitive racing set up. Not in the same league. If you're doing comparisons, then do so with bikes in the same category.

I know it's apples to oranges. I say this in the video. The point I wanted to make is this is not an endurance bike meaning if you plan on riding it non-stop it might be better for something like the Madone, which you are a former rider of. And you know what, my FX2 is a race bike, that Viper Red color is fierce!

this guy describes servicing his bike like 5 times in 8 months including a hub rebuild... im a new rider and just ordered an FX2 and my reaction to this guy is to assume he's doing stuff wrong or very unlucky. servicing anything that frequently is insane, unless hes just paying a guy to lube his chain.

@@wildest1293 I am doing rigorous testing on this bicycle so that you can be sure when you buy it you enjoy it.

It's not horrible unless you know how to ride it. And it certainly isn't a Huffy.
