Polyester resin is very easy to work with. Looks like you used woven mat. They also have CSM (Chopped Strain Mat) that works extremely well with polyester resins. And once you get everything covered over and sealed, it sands very nicely and feathers out extremely nice to give a very smooth finish. They also have colored pigments you can add to the polyester resins if you like. You can hardly use any of in wrong. It sands so well that even if you think you messed up, it will sand out so nice that it doesn't matter... Thumbs Up!

That has got to be some of the most beautiful wilderness country I have ever seen.

It really is stunning, I hope fires never touch this part of the planet, the heartbreak I would endure omg

Looked like a good fiberglass job to me.I haven't had much experience with it either.

It's crazy you were working out there so close to the fires. Even hundreds of miles south we were getting really bad air quality because of them. Glad you were able to stay safe.

Hey :) yeah it was generally okay, mostly just sort of uncomfortable ... but there was a point where I thought, should I just leave now?? All is well that ends well but the fires are serious business :/

Good job, are you going to have to skim coat the outside to fill in the bumpy surface on the exterior? Will be a big job, good luck, I know you will make it look great while looking great yourself!!

Hey William, thanks! In some parts, yes... though many lessons learned and a few things I'll do differently next time 😅

At one point you were talking about fibreglassing over the voids in the outer skin, and the next shot had you drinking out of a paper cup - for about one second I thought "Oh, my god, she's drinking the fibreglass resin by mistake!!" Sorry, I really don't think that lowly about your intelligence, just a stupid assumption on my part. Good comic value, though! Stay safe out there, watch those fires carefully.

haha my brain was getting kind of foggy from the smoke that I wouldn't put it past me at that point honestly 😅
