I was started at way too high of a dose on my first infusion. There was so much anxiety that they gave me drugs to make me forget the experience, and there was a lot of vomiting afterwards. The second infusion went a lot better, they started more slowly, and ended more slowly, and there was no vomiting. I was more familiar with the experience, that’s probably why I wasn’t afraid the second time. Don’t eat a few hours before it, and if you don’t like what you’re seeing close your eyes, that will stop it.
@@JacobO-q3s Who prescribes that for you? Currently doing infusions but pain relief doesn't last, a constant dose may be best. I'd appreciate any info, thx
I am in Austin Texas and looking for a ketamine clinic to have my series of six infusions. There are about five or six places, how should I decide where to go? Also, some places do the infusion for an hour and some for forty minutes, which do you prefer. And Last question, what do you think about the ketamine lozenges, some clinics give them and some don't?
1. Check out our blog post on how to choose a ketamine clinic: www.resetketamine.com/blog/2019/7/1/how-to-find-the-right-ketamine-clinic-for-you 2. We prefer the 40-45 minute infusion time range. 3. Interesting. What about for CRPS? I had amazing results for PTSD/depression this was a much lower dose (I think as you stated in the video). CRPS however, I’m told it needs to be longer and at a higher dose. how would you treat it with ketamine infusions? Thank you very much!

@@4_seagull Benzodiazapines work by inhibiting GABAergic pyramidal neurons (among others), and Ketamine works by inhibiting GABAergic interneurons via NMDAR antagonism. So, if your GABAergic interneurons are already inhibited, it can attenuate the effects of the Ketamine, which causes glutamate release and subsequent AMPAR activation, with a whole host of downstream signal cascades that increase neurogenesis, neuron proliferation, synaptogenesis, and boost overall synaptic plasticity. This is its main therapeutic effect, not the psychotomimetic effects you experience during the session. You should abstain from using short-acting benzodiazapines like triazolam and flurazepam for 4-6 hrs before your session and from intermediate and long-acting benzos like lorazepam, alprazolam, clonazepam, diazepam, quazepam, and chlorazepate for 12-24 hrs for best results. Benzodiazapines also prevent N-demethylation of Ketamine into its primary active metabolite norketamine, which is responsible for many beneficial effects. So, if you are able, resist using them 1-2 days before your treatment for best results.
I have had several infusions already and the therapeutic effect is quite impressive. Quick question. I am a 245lbs male with approx. 60 lbs of excess body fat. (I.e. lean mass of 185 lbs is so). Which body mass should I use when calculating/interpreting my dosage? For example, if I’m given 65mg, should I divide by 100kg or 80kg? I ask because the research literature all talk in terms of mg/kg. Thank you for your videos!
I am a 170 lb male with very little body fat, and I've found my perfect dose range to be 170-180 mg, but I've gone up to 250 mg and had a good experience. 65 mg seems very low, but everyone is different and it depends on what you're treating.
What should be the interval of taking ketamine? Like once in a lifetime or can it be taken after several interval? Also what's the amount of first dosage while taking ketamine?
It really depends upon each patient and what they are getting treatment for. Sometimes it's 2-3 times per week for several weeks, other times it can be several days in a row. Dose is dependent upon the diagnosis.
