    1. Uncontrolled hypertension because ketamine raises both pressure and heart rate.
    2. History of heart attack.
    3. Uncontrolled thyroid disease.
    4. Substance abuse disorder.

Very grateful for my experience with ketamine combined with therapy. After the first ketamine treatment, I felt immediate relief and it has lasted for the last six weeks, so far. I have never felt more centered and grounded. But more than that, I feel healed in many ways. I'm now creating the 2.0 version of me thanks to ketamine and my therapist who was there for the important sessions before, during and after the ketamine treatments. Thank you for the healing you bring to your patients.

My first session I did an intravenous ketamine infusion and felt no relief, just felt extremely lightheaded and dizzy afterwards. However, my dad did start arguing with me while I was tripping, so maybe that’s why I cried throughout my trip and felt negative emotions afterward??? I did one ketamine treatment and I’m honestly traumatized from it. Everyone else I know has had a good reaction to it so I’m feeling incredibly unlucky and defeated. I also have pretty bad graves disease and noooo one told me that I shouldn’t do this if I have the disease. I’m honestly just here venting because it’s only been a week and I’m not swinging back from my experience. I genuinely felt like I was being tortured for hours and I was so embarrassed that I couldn’d stop screaming for help the whole time. I’m really thankful ketamine works so well for most people. I was just hoping this would finally be my miracle

You may have been given too much. My mom is an alternative medicine doctor who’s learning more about ketamine treatment because she wants to start working with clinics administering it, but her own first experience was really awful because she received too much and went into a “K hole.” She described it to me as feeling like she was pointless and floating in this torturous existence of feeling like she was nothing, and didn’t even exist. That’s obviously a horrible and traumatic experience to go through, but if you went through something similar it’s because you were given too high of a dose.
My mom is my hero though and a very strong person and despite her terrifying experience has continued to pursue her goal of working to open a clinic to help others, and I’m planning on starting treatment soon. From what I’ve learned through research, it’s really only a too high of a dose that causes adverse reactions in patients. I’m very sorry it went so wrong with you. I know it’s hard to trust it after something like that, but if you ever give it another shot I suggest explaining your adverse reaction and trying again with a much lower dose to start with

How are you feeling now? I also did one treatment two months ago, at what was supposed to be a low dose (and I talked extensively with the provider about this!). I went into a k-hole and was totally traumatized worse than before. It has taken me so long to start recovering even just a little bit. There was so much to contend with--feelings of dissociation that lasted, existential dread, drdp, and a kind of near death/ego dissolution that I'm still trying to process. Are you feeling any better?!

    8. people with a history of aneurysm whether it was detected before it 'blew' or not. Most important for those with a history of arterial aneurysms especially in the brain and aorta.
    9. women who are pregnant, trying to get pregnant, or nursing. This is not to discourage women who are planning to get pregnant after - the best thing for the child of a mother with depression is for the mother not to be depressed or to have their symptoms as well controlled as possible.

Had a lidocaine/ketamine infusion just a few days ago at a local hospital, for pain relief. Not so sure that it's done much for pain relief but while having the infusion it went weird as hell. The room turned into a forest, vivid green trees, birds too I think - vivid and weird. Is this a normal reaction? A doctor was monitoring me and I had to ask her if she was really there because my mind just wasn't sure. It is a weird as hell drug. That's all I can say.

Ketamine is the worst medical experience of my life, take all the horrible stuff I've ever experienced and it was like having every horror and pain happen all at one time. The dose they gave me in the ER left me screaming, nonstop, for 10 mins straight, convulsing, heart rate so high I'm surprised I didn't have a stroke. I had a nervous break down from the experience. Two other friends also had it, one for surgery, one for ER visit of a broken arm, both had horrific experiences as well.
I would never use this for pain, especially not in an ER environment. Got a medical bracelet to avoid ever having this nightmare fuel near me again. I'm sure people have found help from it...but it should be used only with an experienced practitioner after disclosing these potential terrifying side effects.

Completely agree regarding uncontrolled thyroid disease. My TPO is extremely high, also TSH and TSH antibodies are high, and T4 is low. The experience of taking K has always been fine, however, now it was extreme and it felt as it could have been fatal due to physiological changes I experienced. Certainly, will avoid this drug in the future even though I completely admire it for the effects and benefits it may bring. This happened on two occasions already, as first time I was not aware why I felt the way I did and I didn't take high dose. Second time I understood. There is not much research available on the interaction of dysfunctional thyroid disease and ketamine.

Hello, thanks for sharing your experience. Ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic, and therefore can cause a dissociation of the mind from the body. So one can feel like they can not move like they normally do. Each person’s experience is unique, and the definition of bad can vary from person to person. For some a loss of sense of control can be scary, i.e. “bad” for them. While for someone else it is liberating, i.e. “good.”

Ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic and analgesic with a short duration of action. It is unique in that it produces a state in which respiration and airway reflexes are maintained while patients are unaware of their surroundings. At lower doses, patients can respond to simple commands, but they seem to be unaware of painful stimuli.

So I depend on people like you to learn about this medication fixing to start taking I haven't started yet because I understood that drinking alcohol can squeeze the effects of it so I got to totally quit drinking so if you have any suggestions appreciated since I didn't get anything from my doctor or the pharmacist

Love the name, “Reset Ketamine.” That’s what an infusion (if done properly) should feel like, a reset of the mind. I take 200-MG lozenges PRN and I receive an infusion once a month. It’s saved my life. And also, even for someone who SHOULD receive ketamine, brace yourselves.
It’s a wild ride, but it’s well worth it and can actually become quite relaxing and euphoric.

I would say Ketamine is indeed helpful for people who are struggling with substance misuse. I had a relapse during my ketamine treatment, but it was actually a fantastic opportunity for me to adress the core of my addiction and unify my subconscious compartmentalisation. I realised I hadn't adressed my addiction fully and as a result those parts of me were not affected by the change the treatment was helping me with. I feel unified internally after this experience, and the physiological antidepressant effects have helped me to not feel any cravings as the void that used to be the reason for my addiction has been repaired by my body being in balance. The administration is in clinic and at such high doses and I have no interest in the lozenges for home use as I believe they are the risky part that could potentially cultivate new addictive behaviours for people with previous substance use issues.

Okay, so I just had an Esketamine (Spravato) treatment a few days ago and had an intense adverse reaction to it. The dissociation was all encompassing and flooded me like a tsunami. I went through bouts of extreme panic, anxiety and suicidal thoughts. My heartrate increased into the 150s and I experienced almost complete paralysis with practically no sense of feeling. These effects would come in waves for up to 2 hours. The remainder of the day was met with horrible dizziness and some vertigo. This was all from the lowest amount of Esketamine dosage (56mg).
Since having this kind of reaction to Esketamine, would it be a better alternative to undergo IV Ketamine since its amount can be adjusted on the fly and tailored for each individual? Unfortunately, Esketamine is basically a one size fits all treatment (low dose/high dose). I appreciate any thoughts. Also, I do have hypothyroidism which I take medication for. And I suffer from depression and anxiety with agoraphobia.

Dr. I'm going to be blunt. With all due respect there's no chance in hell I can afford infusion and I question how depressed someone can afford that because example of my depression 44 years old very good looking. Never been in love or Married. No kids. Havnt had a GF since my 20s. Joy, it's something you're going to have to explain to me. I know it's not a competition I dare you treated no more than five patients that is similar or worse than me. My purpose to get Pacific it's alright here about is ketamine infusions To me it's like rubbing it in my face. I have heard you mention Spravato and generic ketamine once or twice. Then I have some clinics the way they push their product yo send you in the mail ketamine pills then they will have some sort of licensed therapist with you over the phone as you go through the process which is just taking advantage of people cuz ketamine pills not going to give you no spiritual experience and lesser given the dosage you would take when you're at a club or a rave. Nest same Clinic I'm reading their profile the doctor says there's no side effects 2 ketamine hundred percent effective. Places like that make it hard to trust good doctors like yourself. Back to my little beef with you I sure would like to hear more about the other options of ketamine because people that really needs the infusion are not capable of working and paying for it and I would say that to tell one of your patients say that into their face in a respectful way. Well I hope I you took something out of my little vintage. You take care

I just got my infusion. The same day it helped with some anxiety. But the next day I suddenly got hit with severe dpdr/ dissociation(and I suffer with that too) and anxiety! And tomorrow is my 2 infusion, I’m afraid it’s making it worse..

Would you mind to share how your second infusion went, and in the end, did you find relieve?
