I love the Divine Intervention album. I don't get why most fans won't count it among the classics.
south of heaven, seasons and divine > show no mercy, haunting, hell awaits and raining blood imo
I also love Divine, it was my very first Slayer album so I have a soft spot for it. Circle Of Beliefs and 213 is as good as anything else they have written.
cause its their worst album
But it's not. Ever heard of opinions? Yours ain't fact.
Souldrainer
neither is yours, so why even bother to say a word?
Slayer's version of a power ballad.
Version grunge metal. Alice in Chains specificaly 🤘
"213" gives me more of that vibe, but I agree with you nonetheless. Have a thumbs-up!!!
That would also be Seasons in the Abyss
Of a penis salad? I do believe you're correct.
I would give everything to hear Tom singing a ballad
So much aggression,
so much pleasure,
so much hatred,
so much blood,
so much tears,
so much wisdom,
this band brought it...
it's pretty serious.
so much divine intervention
This album has such a unique, gritty and dark atmosphere that I'd say perfectly fit the early/mid 90's.
To me personally, it's the best Slayer album, love it so much !
Extremely underrated anyone?
Anthony7771 let me answer your question, with an answer: yes
Yep. Best Slayer track for me post ‘Seasons....’.🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
The album as a whole is underrated. Last great album imo. Also think Dittohead is the best start-to-finish song they ever made. Album after this their worst?
Anthony7771 agreed
Overated.
This era of slayer to me is the most dangerous. No allusions to satan , just the grim dark reality of what the daily grind of life can drive a human being to become
Tom’s voice is eery and haunting, such a gem!
i know it is just amazing
Eire,PA?
Tom doing grunge vocals is actually damn interesting to hear
To*
@@d3dgam3r88 lmao didnt see that, thanks for correcting me
"Grunge vocals"? You mean, clean and with a melody like a normal singer instead of just screaming, is that a grunge thing? lol
@@effiemars_ yes
@@enkeltddelig1243 no, it's called singing. Not specifically from grunge
Why is this song so underrated? This is my favorite Slayer song ever!!
Uuuuumm, have you even heard WAR ENSEMBLE?!!!
@@munkeeBraynStoo hallowed point
@@antisocialdistancing3 Divine Intervention.... Great album, great song
@@munkeeBraynStoo i’ll check it iut
Let me take you down without a sound
Dead before you hit the ground
Blood washes my hand can't understand
Sterilizing my pain
Washed away with crimson tide
By my hand I keep testing time
Quench the fire that drives my soul
Soothing me as death takes hold
Peaceful and serene slowly bleeding
Eyes once bright are now fading
Pallid ashen face against my skin
Staring blindly at some distant place
Washed away by crimson tide
By my hand I keep testing time
Straight flesh lace adorns your neck
Spilling your blood all over my flesh
Quench the fire that drives my soul
Soothing me as death takes hold
Divine godsend enveloping me
Spiritual ecstasy sets me free
I think this is the most underrated Slayer album in their catalog. I've always loved how they changed up the sounds throughout the record. Lots of Peaks and valleys. At a time when grunge was hitting so hard much like Pantera they stuck to their guns but they also experimented a little bit and a completely different direction from everything that was out at the time.
I love it, too. People criticize its sound, but I dig it.
Loud, punchy drums, muddy, aggressive guitar sound, lots of bass. Something that other Slayer albums, especially the latest ones, miss greatly.
Anything slayer is an instant classic
Very true.
Right
Oh yes
Correct.
Yes!
The drums on this album are absolute fire....
Paul Bostaph signature
There good but I missed Dave
Araya's singing style is awesome in the verses. It's almost "Alice in Chains" like. Pretty cool stuff.
Layne Staley was one of the best singers ever
Goodbye Cruel World I love AIC so much but there's nothing between them and Slayer in common dude
As it is slayers better. No excuses
Yea I get that as well. I think seeing them live when they toured gave Tom that idea
@@SubscribersWithNoVideos-in9jh I see what you did there.
Love how Tom’s vocal give such a haunting vibe. Very much an underrated gem from the album.
Slayer is the greatest band in history there will never be another!
of course
Duh.
Will no one talk about Paul Bostaph 🔥
Definitely an amazing drummer and musician. Had big shoes to fill regarding dave. But he has been able to do it 2 times now. Missing Jeff rip. But what I saw live and on cd of holts playing I do think that Kerry has an amazing lineup of very awesome musicians. As long as Tom never ever leaves. Then it would probably be over for the boys. I'm just simply stating personal opinion it is not meant to be taken in a serious literal way. Just personal thought from someone who has been to many slayer shows in the past 30 years. And after 30+ years I'm still a pretty big fan. Even though I am not able to get to many shows in the past few years. And I look them up on TH-cam from time to time. Once a fan, a fan for life. No matter what my catholic wife says about it. Lol
Dude this song is phenomenal.. Ima huge Lombardo fan but Bostaph is an animal in this album .. just brutal.. back in my day this is as badass drumming as it got (in my opinion) even tho I don’t know snare about drums lol
most underrated slayer album and one of the most underrated thrash albums of all time. its sad
That riff at 0:08 omg without a doubt the most heavy and blistering sound I’ve ever heard come out of a guitar… I love it. One of the greatest bands of all time.
THE REAL BIG 4:
1 SLAYER
2 SLAYER
3 SLAYER
4 SLAYER

Carlos F Q if they had that Big four do a tour I think Tom, Kerry, Paul and Gary will be exhausted playing four sets in one day everyday on the tour. Lol

Overkill
Testament
Destruction
Sepultura
Kreator
Metallica
Megadeth
Slayer
Exodus
LEVI The Lion lol rip those shitty bands
No wonder he's insane, it's that fucking alarm clock!
My favorite from the album. That riff is just powerful.
I remember Paul saying he didn't like DI as much as DiM or GHUA because he thought he was drowning out the guitars. Killed it if you ask me.
I'm a long time die hard fan and divine is one of my favorite drum albums from slayer.Killing fields, dittohead,c"mon.I love dave but Paul's at the top of his game on this alblum.
@@mzwmeathook3691 strangely, since his drumming has deteriorated ever since. He has also simplified his drum parts, a lot.
@@simaodocaminhao *polka polka polka polka polka polka*
I don't understand they made a video for this one and just never played it live, this song is amazing, notably the intro, crazy
SLAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYEEEEERRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!
Total fkn slaaaaaaaayeeeeeeeeer
🤘
Slayer is one of the best bands outthere
One of their best songs.
Just listen to the goddamn solo of Jeff's; creepy and fits the song perfectly. He was a genius. R.I.P Legend.
I play the guitar because of you..
it's Kerry, this album exclusively had him on the left for some reason.
This album has got to be one of their finest.
Happy 25th anniversary of "Divine Intervention" - September 27, 2019
Badass song from a badass album.
@man _ Which is part of a badass subgenre known as thrash which is part of a badass genre called metal.
Badass indeed
Still got this tape. Great album and one of the best bands of all times 🤘😈🤘
Phenomenal guitar players. Any haters are extremely envious. Pure talent and same in songwriting.
tom's clean vocals sound GODLY
Check out Slayer's cover of Hand of Doom for more of Araya singing clean

Underrated song from Slayer
OMG I haven't heard this song or seen this video since 1995! Totally forgot how much I loved it. I was in friggin high school back then..
I started listening to Slayer again in the last few days and I had that song in my mind but I couldn't quite remember how it called or how it went.. Now I see this and I'm thrilled! Those guys were awesome. So powerful and full of energy
One of the best songs on this album.
СОГЛАСЕН
90s Paul Bostaph was really something. holy shit, what a thrashmetal drummachine-monster
I may have said this before, but this is the song that got me into Slayer. I knew of them and had heard of them before this, but because of my age or whatever, this is the song that made me take notice.
My favorite Slayer song
From the bands that make me do headbang all day, slayer is one of them, every slayer songs make me do such a good and long headbang until the end of the song, omg this band is so awesome
One of my favorite songs ever
SLAYER
MOST SINISTER OF THE 4
I've always thought Metallica were the band of those 4 that transended thrash metal and became legends of rock music, if not pop music as a whole. Megadeth are the most prog of the 4. Anthrax (and I only have spreading the disease to go by) are the party band of the big 4 while Slayer as you say are the most sinister of the 4.
Evan Askew I’ve always found Metallica to be heavier then slayer. Slayer faster sure but Sad But True, Harvester of Sorrow and Blackened are heavier then slayer
@@teamatfort444 well black sabbath invented heavy metal it can be said. And one of the things about was their music could be quiet slow and those songs you mentioned by Metallica were slower and thus heavier so I do take your point. Pantera for instance often slowed down some of their songs
Definitely
INSANE!
I try,thanks for noticing.
Serenity In Murder was the first Slayer song I ever heard and I immediately got the album.
Underrated song and album
Listen to this song backwards. It's practically the same played forward. Genius writing.
Why is this slayer album got like the hardest riffs like fictional reality
Say something about Tom's voice before he starts screaming that it is or yelling which is badass but anyway something about his voice in this song that's just totally gives me goosebumps and i fucken love it!! God damnit all hail Slayer
Pure Heavy Metal to the core. A father on the family tree for sure.
Soooooo underrated album that’s my fav song from them 🤘🏼 SLAYEEEEEEER
I love this song, the way Tom sings the verses is so creepy, almost reminds me of some dirt era aic
Possibly my favorite music video of theirs...
My favorite Slayer album with Seasons in the Abyss but this one is so different than the others. Love the unique sound of the the guitars and Paul the drummer is excellent with all the respect to Dave Lombardo
very underrated riff. lots of chromatic notes
SLAYER the undisputed metal gods!
Already watched these Lords of THRASH METAL & I'll be seeing them. on October. the 22nd!
lucky
and I'll be seeing them on October 15
I'll be there too!
dantexx300 really?
Yea, Toluca right?
Grunge influence...
I downloaded the last 45 seconds of this video in 1995. It took 24 hours and the video could only be viewed at the size of a thumbnail
Those were the days 🤦🤣🤣
Where did you download though?
The most Tensity comes from the Drummer it’s like he’s pounding on your face! 🤘
I love the vocals here for some reason
My favorite Slayer album.
Tom was saying the whole band was not happy with the sound of the album. It came from the moving studios 3 times during recording. The songs however are GREAT!
Man i loved this album
I love the album.❤
Divine Intervention: underrated
this was the first slayer song i ever herd when i used to smoke heaps of pot with my little brother. my cousin gave us this tape of rage with all the classics n shit like speultura ect
Can't believe this song got a fucking music video, yet it's never been played live. I genuinely think the whole band forgot about this entire album except for dittohead
So cool sound, every time I listen I`m feeling someking of shock and relax.
SLAYEEEEEEERRRRR 🤘
this is actually my all times favorite album absolutly, tight shit, i love this serial killer thing!
Incredible. I miss Slayer
Me tooooo
This entire album is a fuckin masterpiece !! 🤘😟
honestly this is their best video
My first actual favorite album it's hard to pick....
FFS, can people stop saying it’s “underrated”?! It’s a cool fucking song. Just listen to it and have a good time, without worrying about whether assholes are rating it or not.
Drumming is fucking phenomenal
Paul Bostaph killing it
some sick ass riffs right there
SEVENTH ANGEL ... One of the best Thrash Metal bands in history !!!!!
Wasn't this video on Beavis And Butt-Head once?
no it was in hell
It was.
It totally was: I cannot think of this song without the overlapping "huh-huh-huhs"...
they played it on SuperRock a lot
Yep! Mike Judge got a LOT of bands popular because of Beavis and Butt-Head, especially White Zombie. Not Slayer though, they were already kicking ass.
RIP JEFF HANNEMAN you are truly missed
He is in HELL

@@213amp No. Spirits or ghost whatever you want to call them exist..Ive been face to face with a spirit being made of light 1 night when i was a child..I was walking slowly down a pitch dark narrow hallway when i felt a presence behind me..I knew when i turned around something was going to be there..So i turned around and right behind me 3 feet was a spirit being made of light ..We were looking at eachother.. I was so young at the time i didnt even know what a ghost was..After about 10 seconds i could see its hand signaling slowly to come closer 2 it..but i didnt . i turned and ran away..It wasnt human..It was alive but it didnt have a flesh body like a human..It was in another deminshion of existence but in our reality at the sametime..its impossible for me 2 become an atheist after my supernatural experience..i got lucky to see that..I wouldnt be a skeptic your just wasting your time..Spirits do exist.
@@213amp This is not a joke..I remember it like it was yesterday..Im 100% sure spirits exist..Spirits exist that means God exists..Evolution is false..God is a spirit being who created other spirit beings and created the universe..Life didnt just happen by chance thats impossible..but alot of deceived people believe everything happened by chance without Creator..When we die we go into the spirit world..Thats a fact i know from being face 2 face with a spirit being .. your speaking with someone who knows whats up..There have been people throughout history who have had supernatural experiences..im not the only person.
Crimanily Underrated ! Like Diabolus in Musica!
Just appreciate how much money this band spent at the chiropractor
I found this to be slayers second best album in my opinion after seasons of course being their best.
Bostaph came to bang on this album big time
0:38 - 0:57

There's no such thing as a bad Slayer album. There are albums that are better than others, but there is no 'bad' Slayer album.
I love the hell out of this song rest my rest my case love. Y'all
This is my favorate slayer album deserves so much respect
One of my fav Tom tracks.
Killin it !
This video could be a cinematic trailer for a slasher film 🤘👿😮📽️
best album ever.
daaaamn after tht killer openin riff n drummins they jst dropped the tempo low for his singin in tht low voice,,genius i tell you,,this album is a masterpiece n paul bostaph is a drum god nobody else can fill dave lombardos shoes except him,,just listen to divine intervention the title track in high volume n really sit or stand or get a bit stoned not tooo stoned n just get into it n u wil knw what a classic allbum ths is,,
That whole fucking album is sick. The subject matter of those songs are so dark. The first song is about Cambodia's Pol Pot. Just look it up. .
Another phenomenal drum track demonstrating why I prefer Bostaph over Lombardo.
This is a really underrated slayer song
Tom has a great singing voice. Wish we'd gotten more of that
Killer riff intro!!!
